Financially he won’t regret leaving FGR, he will pick a job up elsewhere, maybe Pools ?
The Watford owners have a worse reputation than our chairman for sacking managers.

I some times wonder that's why Sweens doesn't fancy being a manager.

Supporters keep going on about sacked managers not being given enough time. Get over it this is football rightly or wrongly that’s the way it goes.

He would be too expensive for Pools.

Mind you, bearing in mind his former owner would have funded a better standard of player at FGR far more generously than we ever could so he’d have been able to have a good team, maybe his motivational skills at Watford didn’t have the same effect, but the lure of the Premiership and it’s hideous financial rewards really is too much for ambitious owners.
Watford= certified yo yo club.

I think Watford are an extreme for change of managers Pools are probably very little different to a lot of clubs. Just look closely at Middlesbrough and Sunderland hardly call them safe havens for managers.

These days , yes. Mankind is evolving as a species that lives for the immediate rush. On the one hand we cry out for long term thinking, when in reality if an immediate benefit is not forthcoming, or proves difficult for us in the short term, we bay for a change.

Watford hired Edwards on the premise that they wanted "a new approach", and recognised this would take time. Time these days is apparently 10 matches.

Watford are on 14 points in the Championship, just 4 points behind the top playoff place, are they mad?

TWO MATCHES, he is lucky he has survived being burnt at the stake if that has happened. once fans were a little down in the dumps after their side lost a game, now its a national disaster when their clubs allows someone to beat them.

Makes you wonder who’d want the job…although even after a few weeks you get a decent pay off…… and there’s always some ego who believes they have the magic formula.

Every manager they appoint must surely have the job described as …..‘Caretaker Manager’.
I reckon the Owners must have a game of Gonopoly once a week with their manager, whoever it is this month.

If they ever offered me the job, very high on my agenda would be my exit package. One thing for sure getting sacked there shouldn't sour your CV very much. If you lasted half a season you could claim that as a success.

even a club in lg.2 on minus points without a pot to piss in would get well over 30 serious applicants if the managers job became vacant. to go into management in football you need a higher than average self belief just to start off even at the lowest level of the pyramid.

You also have to have a dislike of being in the same job for too long.

And the same stuff to fans at your first interview telling them that as soon as I heard this huge club was interested it was a no brainer.
