Considering the injury list I guess the draw was a good result although injury time equalizers are always crushing. Hopefully we will have more fit players for the next game against Donny.

Most probably that was deffo 2 pub teams trying to out do each other to see who is the worst.
Need a miracle to get 12 wins outa this very poor team.

We have 3 points after 7 games you utter numpty and that point was against one of the worst sides in the league. Carry on at this rate and we would have 20 odd points at the end of the season.

Ratings

Killip 7 did nowt wrong, distribution could have been better but not much to aim for
Tumilty 6 - Did well for goal but suspect at back --hopefully sterry fit soon
Patterson 5 -- too lightweight and poor decsion makng--mistake by Hartley to start him in front of Ferguson
Lacey 6--better than previously
Menase--6 did ok
Murray 4 - liability again--hesitant, slow, and weak--should have had a pen awarded against him
Feather N/A injured too early
Sylla 7 MOM--did well at breaking up play tired toward end
Niang 7--same as Sylla, does need to watch his tackling
Crawford 6 did ok tried to move the ball fwd
Mcdonald--6, scored but didnt do much else
Hamilton 5 - too lightweight--showed some nice touches, but he's not fast, and he doesnt hold ball up so doesnt offer much

Subs

Shelton--ran around but didnt offer much
Odour--Looks like he will be good from limited view
Hastie--God awful--he's not even fast didnt put any challenges in, and fluffed the chance he got--suspect once the rest are fit, he'll be unused

Next week--I would keep same formation--change out the wing-backs and if Feather is fit but Sylla at CB to replace Murray. Would also drop Crawford for Odour, and Hamilton for Umerah or Ndoji if those lads are fit

We shouldnt kid ourselves how bad these 2 sides were today

Hartley post match interviews evolving to lamenting the transfer market, hard to have that much sympathy with him given some of the shite he has brought in.
Genuinely hard to think of a worse signing in recent years than Hastie and Murray, both of whom are likely among the better paid players we have
He sounds pretty resigned and I think the end can’t be more than a game or two away.

Not wearing rose rimmed specs or owt but worth pointing out we got a point away from home today, not a hammering. We won in midweek in a cup competition. We were missing two, arguably three key players today and came within two minutes of an away win. Not saying Pools are world beaters or even a good team but maybe no reason for excessive gloom and doom.

Couldn’t watch the game today so would be interested to know peoples thoughts on Sena. He looked lost at Walsall but good on Tuesday.

Also thoughts on our fitness this season. We seem to be tiring at the end of matches, was it this that lead to the equaliser?

He was good, a little indisciplined and could have got a yellow but got about well broke up play etc.

We will never hold on at the death with our defence tho sadly

As regards fitness, we have run out of steam early in the second half every game so far, so I would say we are deffo not fit enough. Regards Sena, like most of them had a decent first half but disappeared second half. Two very poor teams who could both be relegated this season.

Thanks both!
Hopefully Sena keeps it up!
Both defence and fitness appear to be major weaknesses. They also sound like easy things to improve be it by different training or a new manager.
Not expecting anything from next 2 games but we shall see.

I think Sena will become a solid part of the team, clearly still adjusting but his workrate and commitment is top notch.

Hastie on the other hand is the complete opposite, just doesn't seem to want it all that much. You can see in very small glimpses why Rangers bought him but sadly seems like he's still got the problems he had up there.
Menayese is by far our best CB, Lacey is average and Murray just isn't good enough. We are crying out for another striker but sadly that's not going to happen.

And there was a striker sat behind Hartley, But in his opinion Hamilton and HASTIE are better than him, Shocking.

Less than 200 Poolies were at the game and it's a safe bet half of them were based in the South East. All the rapid fire analysis must be from people who were watching on IPTV - or had made up their minds before kick off what they were going to say based on the result

I can only presume he doesn't see Grey as a striker as he said in his post match interview we didn't have any.

Listened on Tees when working at the bench, so heard it all….and to be fair it sounded no different to any other match report, I don’t recognise the horror story some big girls blouses are coming up with. Only criticism I heard, was of Killip”s distribution which was described as ‘atrocious’. but maybe some saw what they wanted to see.
Normally, nearly getting an away win at somewhere would be a bit disappointing to concede in the last minutes, but nothing is ever good enough for some folk who’ve been self inflicted angry ‘boiling kettles’ before Hartley was even heard of.
When your two forwards are injured it’s going to be awkward, but when your only other forward is injured it’s a battle.
Let’s not beat about the bush, if we’d got the three points, the ‘Pratt and Whitney’s’ would still be unimpressed and doing what they do best.

knowing how poor pools can be away from home i think most would have took a point at cnot happy with an away draw r even with a full team to pick from. if we are upset by the result then there lot will be suicidal. ok we have gone 2 games unbeaten against poor opposition. to stay up we need to take points off all the teams around us and in the bottom half of the league. sharing the points at colchester is better than sharing em with leyton oriant and then losing at colchester.

We are at the stage of trying to find two shitter teams than us. After all of your rejoicing in pre-season it is really quite ironic @Snowy. And before you go off on one, I do want Pools to win you silly silly man.

Listening to a game you never get a true reflection.
Me Brother was at the game n I watched it on TV.
He foned me after the game gutted but he half expected a bit more injury time heatache. Its what Pools are good at.

Had we won against a team worse than us nailed on to finish bottom we would still need 11 more wins. Now we still need 12 to avoid relegation wbich is a major ask given how bad the mass clearout replacements have been.
As for your PnW anology its more a case of proper fans being concerned about the current situation.
You do realize thats 16 league games without a win and the bottom 2 go down.
Reallection days are history old chap.
What ya building at ya bench a guilatine for me bigdog n Billy etc.

..well said mr snowy...listened to the radio borer commentary too and absolutely nothing to justify the guillotine being brought out yesterday...criticism of flapper was as you describe kicking the ball into the stands or long into possession of the opposition ...the full match replay on ifollow is now available on the hufc o/s btw...

I'm not sure it's sinking in with a few fans we have 3 points. Yes that's a whopping 3 points from 7 games. Doncaster certainly won't be as poor as Colchester.

Never ever sold my self as a bigger fan, what nonsense, lots and lots done more than me down the years.
I’ll stop ‘berating ‘ others when they come down from the clouds and stop ‘berating’ me…. If you want people to stop shooting at you, don’t shoot at them.
Help if you cut out the smart arse reference to age constantly, as though anyone older than you is senile and anyone younger a pup…..
God always has another custard pie up his sleeve, or so I’m told.

Less than 200 Poolies were at the game and it's a safe bet half of them were based in the South East. All the rapid fire analysis must be from people who were watching on IPTV - or had made up their minds before kick off what they were going to say based on the result

I will respond to your earlier INK reply when i find my binoculars.
Hope its of the usual complimentary crack.

There’s some BIG words so go careful.

You’ll be on here when we’re bottom at Christmas. ‘Yes but…..’.

When can you just accept that you got it wrong. You were waxing lyrical over the summer about how incredible PH is and how good we were going to be. The game has left you behind Old Boy!

..well said mr snowy...listened to the radio borer commentary too and absolutely nothing to justify the guillotine being brought out yesterday...criticism of flapper was as you describe kicking the ball into the stands or long into possession of the opposition ...the full match replay on ifollow is now available on the hufc o/s btw...

Do we know our best team? No.
Do we know our best system? No
Did we sign any of our key targets this summer? No
Are we 2nd bottom? Yes
Could we fill a bench during pre season? No
Are we looking forward to a lifetime of national league seasons? No
Is our SQUAD  the most imbalanced, poor and likely relegation fodder in the league? Yes

Call me crazy but against Harrogate and Colchester I have seen slight improvement, yes there is a lot of work to be done(on the fitness side),but we were just a minute away from 3 points and that with 3 main players out.
I wouldn't be calling for the managers head yet, think he needs just to get a settled side and see where we go from there. stpid stpid

Listening to a game you never get a true reflection.
I wondered why they were taking about bedding plants and cabbages

Me Brother was at the game n I watched it on TV.
He foned me after the game gutted but he half expected a bit more injury time heatache. Its what Pools are good at.
Your faith is touching.

Had we won against a team worse than us nailed on to finish bottom we would still need 11 more wins. Now we still need 12 to avoid relegation wbich is a major ask given how bad the mass clearout replacements have been.
Whatever.

As for your PnW anology its more a case of proper fans being concerned about the current
‘Proper fans’ ? Ah, people who agree with you…silly me .

Reallection days are history old chap.
‘Reallocation days’ where are they sending you…?

What ya building at ya bench a guilatine for me bigdog n Billy etc.
:o
A guillotine, of course not, why kill the golden goose….?…nah just a Bedford radiator.

Asking yourself questions then answering them, the perfect board for you.

I'm not sure getting rid of the manager will achieve much, unless Sweeney turns us round while we wait 6 weeks for a new guy. Hartley has been sold down the river without a paddle. Thing is will he walk first?

When will you ever be mature enough son to realise everyone ain’t gonna roll over because you say so.
You’ve got your view, I’ve got mine and if you opened your eyes and read posts you’d realise I put in print my point at which it was time to call it a day.
Unlike you I don’t run around like the boy on the burning deck panicking.
Look and you shall find, I ain’t gonna do it for you, but it’s there.

There’s no other interpretation from that, than it’s the chairman’s fault….?
