They haven’t reported WW2 over yet, the Mail just ain’t what it used to be.

i,ll be impressed after he plays against some old head, gets roughed up and see if he is either going to hide or come back more determined.

The lad is playing for his local team - there will be that extra bit of determination and excitment in his game, I think Cafu could do a job on him but he would stand to the occasion hes a top lad and wont take no crap on the pitch infront of his pals and family thats for sure. Boydy played with the same pride and i hope Ellis can too. Im hoping he goes straight into the side as he was playing L1 football for the mackems last season

No he wasn't. He had 2 starts in the EFL Trophy and 1 in the FA Cup. Not even a sub appearance in League One.

well even that shows he was close to the 1st team squad unlike some who would never have got a look in.

He's a lad with a lot of potential otherwise we wouldn't have signed him. As the Sunderland manager said, they've sent him out on loan to get some experience of men's football.
