Can anyone remember the name of the ex Boro player who opened a unit upstairs in the shopping centre opposite the indoor market near the escalators selling Cornish pasties that were just gorgeous?

Yup, born in Newquay and retired back to Cornwall to work in the family’s Cornish Pasty business, I ‘ve just been informed by one of my sons :roll:

Dont think it lasted long in the mecca of pasty eating that is Hartlepool.
The locals could not understand that they contained meat and veg which was visible in the pasty.
Greggs contain a sludge that all had got used to.
Too upmarket i am afraid.

Did Roy Hogan have a Butchers shop in Duke st area.
A few legs of lamb n 4th division forwards.

Spends most of his time developing coaches with the Cornish FA these days. He's very highly thought of in that role down here. The pasty business is still going strong:
