No matter what is said the managers/coaches seem to rate/see something in Killip.
Lets hope this year is going to be the blossoming of him!!!!

In the article it said ‘Letheren will support Ben Killip in the coming season’. Don’t like the sound of that.

There’s plants in the remotest jungles of New Guinea that blossom more than him….. how long does it take for a keeper to ‘blossom’? Do we need a goalkeeping coach or Titchmarsh?

So it's the case of another Ross Turnbull like signing. Whelmed.

..supporting the goalkeeping team....i do hope this means we can expect another keeper who can also challenge the flapper..maybe a decent young player on a season long loan?

with his coaching role i imagine he,ll be back up keeper only. lot may depend on how many games he actually wants to play so there could be a young lad coming in on loan before the season starts. honestly if flapper does not know what to do in the nets now no coach will be able to show or tell him. he aint a school kid that fancies a career as a keeper.

It's a slight concern going into another season with a keeper who doesn't command his area. One season we may learn.

I don't think having Kyle Letheren at the club rules out Pools signing a loan keeper before the transfer window closes.

There will be 3 new pairs of eyes assessing Killip's strengths and weaknesses in pre-season and they are bound to want to do something about Pools' most obvious weakness at set pieces - even if the solution is bringing in two 6'6" centre backs!

Doubt Letheren can work miracles with Killip's reluctance to leave his line (at the right times) but Dimi was a backward step last season after Ross Turnbull left.

Hoping the 'wider group' refers to another keeper being brought in. Not so much a fan of a 2nd choice keeper being the coach as he can hardly be objective about himself to the manager. Either way ignoring the coach part he seems a good signing, got promoted from this league 2 seasons back with Morecambe, playing the second half of the season and playoffs so clearly good enough for League 2.

Surely he must be first choice otherwise how can you expect Killip to be taking orders from what amounts to his deputy. If this is so expect a season long loan from an under 12s at a premier league team. Feel yj
hey need more signings now as a matter of urgency as they will be going to Portugal and pre season training with a very depleted squad.

at the end of the day hartley picks the team..and would expect having seen video evidence of pools last season he will know enough to know flapper just isnt good enough..another keeper in and hope that will mean flapper will be looking at the bench for as much of next season as possible...but whoever made the decision to go with boneheads retained list wants a serious dressing down tbh..we now await news on the supercrock ffs...

Hopefully a few more in the door before the trip to Portugal, no point going if we only have half a team.

I remember going to the first game under Cooper down at Peterborough (scorching hot) and Williams had a complete stinker in goal, never played for us again I believe.

Every time well not every time he took a goal kick it went out of play, he is now the manager at Aberystwyth Town F.C. looking at Wikipedia he has rarely been out of work.

Aberystwyth …drove through it several times yet even the wife never got the urge to stop ……. and she’s stopped in Sleaford.
