My thoughts are … said this as a passing comment weeks back. But … said manager is already lined up. His notice period has been worked and he gets announced in a few weeks once the season is closed out. - we need someone to get to work immediately tbh. Meet the team. Sort the new recruits - get preseason well

Hopefully already lined up with plans in place. Important summer coming up - both recruitment and retention.

Good ol' Ronnie Moore will be ready to throw his hat into the ring for the umpteenth time  Phil Brown never tires of the managerial merry-go-round  And a certain Dave Challinor could be back in the job's market if his moneybags team misses out on automatic promotion AND blows the play-offs

Id welcome DC back with open arms - not gunna lie. He did the club a favour by making sure his contract had an obsurd buy out clause in it which he knew Stockport would pay thus helping us out. Mans a legend in my eyes.

Pete Wild - cant see it like but you never know.

Probably going to be a none league manager with some pedigree looking to step up - or could it be one of the relegated managers - both very good and dont deserve to be in the NL, as i believe they are better than that - id have either at Pools.

just hope its not another ex player ... with a boro connection - none have ever been successful imo. Wonder if Turner fancies it ... was at the Vic last week - Maybe him and Raj had words...

Wild just signed a new contract with Halifax I believe, so would require a compensation payment. Wouldn't be enthused by either Sheridan or Hill - both past their best I think.

Wonder what Mike Williamson's contract situation is?

Pete Wild is the obvious choice for me. I imagine it will hinge on Halifax's playoff campaign. I do think it is definitely the right decision to get rid of Lee, hopefully Nelson to follow.

His name came up after challinor left. Do not know if we did talk to him at the time, but if we did and he was interested i doubt he would be this time around after not going for him then. He,s got security at halifax no matter what the play offs have in store for them. Would anyone come to pools if they had security.

If I am correct all our promotions came via managers from outside the North East other than Alan Murray but that team was built by Cyril Knowles and ready for promotion before his death that same season. We also had Mike Newell / Danny Wilson / Neil Cooper. IOR brought all these outsiders in and got success. Raj please take a leaf out of Hodcrofts book and cast your net beyond the North East please!

So so true. Pools are obsessed by this north east connection much more than any other league clubs are in local appointments. Do not want someone from the latvian 3rd division but there,s surely people who could do the job thats never even been to the town before. The facts are there for everyone to see.

theres that ' i have to agree again Mr Poolie1" 100% nailed on. clappp

get us a manager who wants to win - doesnt take any shite - knows what is required to push on at this level. Possibly brings with him his own back team of again very good men - hoof ball - rugby tactics i dont care aslong as we win. thats my attitude now - playing football seems at this level still doesnt get you where you need to be - The Mansfield approach should be what we looking at next season.

Mansfield approach, northampton one,and a good number of clubs have had there own approach to the game for years where players change but the style of play rarely does. Pools have had their approach which has rarely seen success but other teams will love playing them because they are too nice. The dark arts of the game are rarely if ever seen in the team or individual players and would rather be hated by the opposition and their fans than respected. the respect seems to come when we have been defeated.

Woodgate said on Tees it was a horrific decision and he wouldn’t want the job, 1 win in 11, the decision didn’t shock me, what does shock me is why Nelson is still there. Surely a wrong decision by Lee to appoint him as his assistant more so as he had been sacked by his previous employer.
I don’t go for Pools should have give him the chance to bring in a few players and a few games in the new season. I am reminded about the appointment of Scott and Agnew with their ex Sunderland signings, didn’t we get relegated that season ?
I liked Lee he is a nice fella and carrying a helluva load on his shoulders with his wife’s ailments and hopefully he finds employment elsewhere.

Horrific? seriously? We wouldn’t want Woodgate, he has a permanent look on his face that looks like he’s put his finger through the toilet paper.

i see the fails ramage has been looking at 5 issues behind boneheads exit..surprise surprise...his conclusion?

"In summary then, there is a strong case to be had as to why Pools have made the decision to part ways with Lee despite the success he brought to the club in terms of maintaining their League Two status combined with their cup adventures."

https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sport/ ... ee-3683645

..amazing how he never had the balls or insight to even touch on any of these issues before..but now boneheads out the door..oh what have we here..its been a right pigs breakfast all along hasn't it when you actually look at it....viz comic standard tbh
