I think it's the nature of football that we'll lose a couple that Spike and the fans would prefer to keep - though preferably not to other clubs in Division 2. That doesn't mean this season's squad can't be improved with good recruitment in the summer.

our only player contracted beyond this season who is a genuine saleable asset at this point is sterry......now may well be the time to cash in if we get the chance....and re invest the proceeds in improving the team in key areas.....keeper and central defence being a clear priority....

This is true - Pretty sure some of his stand out performances aswell as Timis havnt gone unnoticed by those in the league above. Think we all knew when Sterry came in he was always levels above. Id hate to see him go but in this day and age he should be worth well over a Mill, if that could be spent on 2/3 players then so be it. Ogle can do a job at RB and is a decent player at this level should he be needed to replace Sterry.

if fergie and mols turn down new deals and so go elsewhere for nowt.....just cant see us holding on to sterry if a decent offer comes in.... sadx

Well at least North of 800k - I know Leicester are Prem but they paid more for our young Keeper remember.

Sterry is at the right age - performed comfortably at this level now all season barely putting a foot wrong. No major injuries. Hes a prime target for a team in the championship struggling in that position / wanting to take a chance. Hes only going to get better so a dont see why not. Money in football is silly just now - just watch what Wrexham and Stockport do over the next season or so. Bet them mad feckers try and sign a Prem player if either get to the League.

doubt sterry will be gone before next january transfer window when someone can get him on a cut price deal. even if on paper there are better available than the lads out of contract i prefer to keep what we have. all new signings are gambles and even all fergies man.u ones did not come off. the devil you know has never been truer in football.
