Walsall 2 Pools 2

Killip gifts a goal early doors, go in at the break 1-0 down, score 2 quick goals to go 1-2 up concede in injury time.

0-4.

The form continues with a good thrashing. Sets us up nicely for the semi next weekend.

A lot depends on our injury situation. If we start with the same team as we did on Tuesday (Liddle replacing Byrne), Walsall will win 2 or 3 nil. With Morris, Gray and Sterry back in we are good enough to win even without Byrne.

Depends on injuries and if we have va suitable right back. On Tuesday while deserved winners we akso rode our luck at times, saying that same score 2-1 to the lads, come on Pools

Hopefully have a right back sorted - Lidds is a fine replacement at CB, no worries there at all.

Wonder if Grey is back fit ? although White is doing a grand job up top.

can see us grabbing another late winner - Mols due a goal

1-0 to the Pools

Tomlin has signed but he's probably not fully match fit. I doubt he will start unless Warsaw have a lot of injuries.

We are playing like a team of strangers our midfield is non exsistant and they are running through at will.

If he doesnt change it could be a heavy defeat.

Unfortunately it doesn't appear to impress Walsall. However they shed five goals on Tuesday so we could do better in the second half.

An inexperienced midfield and it shows. Barring Featherstone our midfield aren’t taking up defensive positions when we haven’t got the ball. First goal the lad must have ran 60 yards unchallenged…

Poor first half from Pools, then we looked brighter when we came back out, got back into it through good work between Bogle and White. But a short back pass from Liddle let them back into it and we never really recovered from that.

We missed Morris in particular I think today and also Byrne. Osadebe impressed for the Saddlers.

Just looked a game too far, leggy performance all round. In particular thought Crawford looked completely goosed.

At 2-1 we looked like we’d go on and draw/win. Liddle - who was arguably at fault for 2 of them - gifts a goal and it’s game over. Disappointing but puts us in a position in the table that I think is absolutely spot on for where this team is in League 2.

A full week off now. Hopefully that will make a difference. Sounds as if Fletcher had a good game and was Boydy's Pools man of the match.
I think we missed Byrne and Morris but they too should come back refreshed.

Disappointed we didn't see Jake Hull today, especially with Walsall being a big side.
Before being dropped,Liddle was becoming a liability & was awful today.

All runs come to an end, then the next one starts.
I was anticipating a draw at Colchester and the same today so I’m a point up but obviously disappointed, but that’s life.

These games happen , we have still accumulated a decent number of points and will come back. It's not often in recent years that we had plenty to look forward too

I believe this is the appropriate moment to try the new lad out.

move on now to next saturday with hopefully a fully fit and rested squad back minus byrne to bring 3 points back to the vic. think everyone would be satisfied with 6 points out of 9 in three away games.

This was the type of game were a good keeper earns his money and keeps you in the game and gets you points you probably don’t deserve. Whilst you couldn’t exactly blame him for the goals I think they were saveable.

i,ll give him some slack on their second as it was a well placed shot. you,d expect us to score with a shot like that and not think their keeper was dodgy for letting it in. do not think their keeper would be too happy about the goal they conceeded either.

I don’t disagree with Accrington all I’m saying is that he never seems to put in match winning performances. I know Loach was not everybody’s favourite but he won man of the match awards regularly, I can’t ever remember Killip ever winning one. He

do not think he has and the downside to ifollow is that anything he does right seems to get blown out of proportion. i had mixed feelings on loach but made my mind up on killip early on and his general performances just underlined it.

I could never understand the criticism of Loach,a bit dodgy at crosses, but still better than Killip.
However his shot stopping was excellent & kept us in games/won us points on plenty of occasions.

Loach wasn't bad at commanding his box. Good shot stopper except the low ones. He went down in installments for them.
