I was in one of the boxes last night curtesy of a friend who supports Colchester have got to say the hospitality is far superior to that at Pools' At the end the Colchester supporters said we were the better side and deserved to win and that they feared they would be relegated. the next up for them is Oldham.

No good hitting the woodwork. It's the back of the net that counts !

yes, everyone mentions a team hitting the woodwork but never when a defender gets the slightest of touches to a goal bound effort. thats where a fraction of an inch comes into it rather than a couple of inches making the difference.

My missus says another couple of inches would make a difference sadx

Have a listen to the post-match interview with Graeme Lee on the OS. While Colchester were still leading 1-0, one of their subs who went past him on a warm up said "How are we beating you?"

I have a feeling that Bogle will go down in legend with Boydy, Porter, Young and Newton (for some)

I sincerely hope you are right & we've found 'the answer' - but in the same vein as this purported 'push for the play-offs' - I hope we aren't jumping the gun as we manoeuvre through a purple patch in the league.

When the next defeat comes, it'll all be about how we bounce back to prove we truly are a GOOD TEAM. In the same as when Bogle's goals dry up, how he reignites when breaks his duck.

I don’t think anyone expects the run to go on for ever and it will obviously end. But that’s what happens in football and every team faces the same problem. But it doesn’t bother me one bit as this is just the cycle of the game, how they respond will be revealed, but again I’m not gonna lose any sleep over it.

Freddie Sears was a small dick away from scoring but thankfully didn't. Agree about Bogle a class act and can see him and Mols developing a partnership. For me a great 2-1 away win to keep the run going helps to banish long ago memories (I think 1976) of "We hate Colchester U because they beat us 2-6 and their chairman  some years ago saying that it was so cold at Pools in August that maybe we should not be in the league. Please, please Pools stuff Harrogate Town and put to rest for me another memory when i joined the army as a junior soldier after going to the recruit selection centre at HARROGATE and stop Luke Armstrong from scoring. Not looking so good a move is it now Luke?

Further to my last post I expect Luke Armstrong will leave and go to somewhere like Carlisle United and end up back in that league.

Luke Armstrong is not daft. Harrogate are a steady and properly financed club though it is true they have no tradition. I doubt he would join a basket case like of Carlisle.

Got to agree, there’s something to be said for playing for a boring secure club and not a dysfunctional outpost going through a spasm.

Unless Armstrong gets injured - Harrogate then sign his replacement and he starts scoring for fun. Only then would you maybe see Harrogate let him maybe leave on a short term loan deal to gain fitness - apart from that hes not doing too bad and would be a luxury player to have to bring on as a sub. Im sure we would all welcome him back here.

Bogle' goals may dry up - he may go through a period where hes finding it hard to score - but for what else he offers and brings to the team i dont think we will suffer too much - he created the second out of nothing the other night, holds the ball up very well and always seems to be in or near the box when needed. The service atm in a front 3 is perfect for him and long may it continue.
