Pools Played at Maidencastle yesterday and won 4-1 against Gateshead. A more appropriate score line from the preseason outing we had with them thankfully.

does anyone know who scored ? by the sounds of the mail there could have been trialists involved and DC also hinted at more bodies incoming before Saturdays Home gate at Walsall.

Will never understand the point of these "top secret" friendlies. Surely they could be held at a neutral venue, charge admission and make a nice little earner for both clubs?

Since Gateshead's first game of the season was postponed I can only assume this was played as a small favour to them, simply to keep their players fit for next Saturday. I wouldn't write out trialists appearing for Pools though.

My Thinking exactly ! get it on at 7/8pm neutral ground or even pay to watch it from Maidenhead. Being fairly local for all im sure it would of drawn a crowd.

still alot of lads without teams at this point in the season so who knows - looking forwards to new faces before saturday if it happens

again all clubs do this. its a glorified training session and sometimes you never know the game happened in the first place.
