Sorry just not good enough to grace the England shirt, two golden ducks and one wicket in two innings.

Sam Curran - now the answer to a trivia question.

Bad luck or bad form?
I think that the cupboard is starting to look a little bare due to all the injuries rather than the rotation policy.

It's a bit tricky getting potential replacements for the likes of Curran and Sibley up to speed for Test cricket when a lot of potential candidates have spent the last 3 weeks playing the glorified tip and run of the Hundred.

Meanwhile Durham have been in unbelievable form in the One Day Cup - the 50 over format of the game for which England are current world champions - not that you'd notice because the entire competition has been almost completely ignored by the BBC.

Durham saw off Surrey in their semi-final yesterday and I fully expect them to beat Glamorgan in the final at Trent Bridge tomorrow. That'll be a nice up yer arse to the ECB 5 years after Durham's compulsory relegation and losing most of their best players. We're going down for a good day (and night) out and tickets for the game are only £10!

Totally agree. Have a great day and here's to a Durham win.

Yes this has been ignored by the broadcasters. Listened yesterday via the Internet BBC Newcastle which kept on going down.
Was at the Hampshire games last week. Great entertainment.

The Cup Final is being streamed also - I watched the Durham v Surrey match yesterday online. Good game that Durham made look easier than it should have been. Well played. I've been to the final at Lords many times over the past 10 years. Now relegated to a Thursday in Nottingham.. so that the Home of Cricket can host 3 hours of pyjama cricket at bedtime, competing for an audience with CBeebies.

Not taking away anything but are the best one day players in the 100 ball competition.

Some are, but it's been the same for all sides. Durham's bowling attack was particularly weakened as Carse, Raine and Potts are in pyjamas for the Northern Whatsits, Ben Stokes should have been but is finally getting a proper break from cricket, and Mark Wood is on Test duty.

Of course, judging from comments in the Guardian by spoiled tossers supporting the likes of Surrey, only they have been inconvenienced.

It was a former Durham player (Stoneman) who put up Surreys strongest resistance yesterday, you can almost sense the southern based commentators cringing when they announce the success of a Durham win against any of the Southern Counties, they still seem to look on Durham as a non-league outfit compared to their afternoon tea and straw boater Pimms sipping counterparts.

All 10 Indian wickets today were taken by bowlers whose names ended in the letter N, wonder if that's ever happened before? sctatchinghead
