I hope footy doesn't get shut down.
At the moment as I worry about my kids, my kids future, my family, my job, my health, the health of my parents I get a release by thinking about my football team; Pools.
I get my quarter hour release a day and my two hours release a game by immersing my self in the drama.

During my indulgence I don't worry about the health of the players and staff at Pools, though I should, and I apologise for that as they are going through it just as we are. I hope they are healthy and as safe as we all want to be.
Perhaps we could support the staff/players whether they are in form or out of form or make a mistake or have a blinder coz I just hope we all and Pools come out of this on the other side.......... and beat the gulls to the tittle.

Most people escape the rigours and banality of everyday life, by immersing themselves in some sort of escapism, whether it be the pub, football , drugs , sex , keeping fit or staring at a mobile phone , amongst others, football though undoubtedly is visibly the most popular, and although I always knew the vast majority went to games subconsciously to escape something , this pandemic has made me realise that our reliance on football as a way of making life more bearable is even greater than I at first imagined.

A title would be nice, as would promotion , however if there ever was a season not to win the title or get promoted , this would be it.

know not everyone are interested in football but a few million are. in these restricted times they need something to break the monotony of this life. its a funny old thing however if you go and watch pools like in the old days. they score an early goal and you constantly keep looking at the clock and actually want the final whistle to go. you then get back into the car with your nerves shattered but cannot wait to go through it all again at the first opportunity. to an outsider they must think its the first sign of madness.

Footballers probably are at no more risk than say many workers so it would be reasonable for elite sport to continue.

so it equates to roughly 1.5 per cent of premier league players having positive tests. whats the percentage of the tested working population outside the NHS i wonder. just keep on testing and play the games at a later date. good job they are not in the same situation as darlo and dover are in at present with their games played.

Anyone who supports the NHS must surely think it's not the right time to have 22 plus unmasked players on a football pitch? Or are you supporting Boris on this one??

If those footballers, coaches, camera crew and other attendees weren't getting tested by PL protocol would they be still be getting tested?

football is an industry. the grounds are their workplace. do other groups of workers who are in close proximity with others away from the NHS get tested as much as footballers do. the only time they seem to go for tests if a workmate has symptoms of the virus.
