Appointed boss of Ross County:

Not sticking with Hughes after we got relegated from League One in 2013 was a huge mistake IMO and by all accounts down to a clash of personalities with Russ Green.

Yogi had a brilliant time at his next club, Inverness Cally Thistle - twice voted Scottish Manager of the Year, two cup finals (won one), highest finish 3rd in the Scottish Prem and took his club into the Europa League. I think he might have managed to get Pools back into League One given the chance

Well respected up in Scotland. Lets face it, any self respecting manager would have difficulty managing at Pools. Historically anyone with a bit of pride and not desperate , tend not to hang around long , either walking or getting chased because their ideas bamboozle those in charge.

Yogi wanted to stay (even though he'd not been backed on potential transfers) but was sacked at the end of the season. Managerial no mark Colin Cooper got the job instead, and took Pools to the dizzy heights of 19th in League Two in his first full season. Thanks Russ!

His record wasn't that good, but there were signs at one stage, he had what it took to save us from relegation. Think his fate was sealed long before end of the season, for , as you say , voicing his opinion about not being able to bolster the squad. His sacking was the final act of what by our standards was a golden period in our history, Its been all downhill since on and off the field. Colin Cooper was a poor manager, but strange how managers like that , often hit the ground running at other clubs and do well. Would've made an excellent coach/no 2 but too nice a bloke and laid back for a management role and lacked the passion required for a club in our position IMO.
