Away games are even worse, load of old blokes with a few young uns lucky enough to have got a decent thrown in for good measure. When I started going , it was all young lads, clearly the same people only 30 years further down the line, with no young ones replacing them when finally having to wear a colostomy bag stops the oldies from travelling. Young men in future in low paid employment will no longer be able to afford to go to games, at home, and certainly not away. Not just that but its not a habitual thing like it used to be, my son is a football fanatic but only goes to a live game now and then, whereas our age group supporting your team and going to the game every other weekend was a given. Worse in the Premier than at our level, though I have always maintained , our cheap ST's skew the numbers, giving the impression we are well supported.

If you look at away support, pools generally take more away than the opposition ever bring to pools, then if you take into account we lose most weeks to still get 3100 to 3500 at home in the non league is incredible really, no matter what the prices are.

I agree, though I think the cheap STs have added a few hundred on over the last 8 years or so. I believe they are more or less the same price as most other clubs now, so therefore the crowds over the last couple of seasons have been impressive and have held up well, I do think a slump awaits though, not just through Covid but also because of results. Challinor . for someone who hasnt achieved anything at the club, yet, has to be the most liked Pools manager ever, he got back a lot of the feel good factor that had disappeared, but that won't last for ever if results don't improve. We really need to be permanently in the top 5.

send your car registration document back using your new address as your daughters.

It proves the lockdown is working, and that if there hadn't been one, deaths could've numbered 800-1000 a day. Letting everything let rip between 23-27 December will unravel all the good work , and figures and R rate will rise again. That's what I think anyway.

Yes , when it gets around to my turn , try anything once, once might be more than enough in this case

Think I'm no 838 on the priority list , Hartlepool United supporters over 55 who are Marxists

I've heard that the vaccine itself is totally safe, it's the lethal dose contained in the lollipop you have to worry about !!!!!

If countries, businesses, stadia, air land and sea travel decide to refuse your application unless you can prove you've been vaccinated, or if you are refused employment then I think a lot of anti-vaxers will suddenly have a Damascus moment.
I think it depends on how mobile you want to be as we don't know yet which countries if any will insist on the presentation of a vaccine passport.
I would like to see a survey amongst NHS and care staff and key workers as to their intentions.
There are lots of restrictions that could be extended to the unvaccinated, for instance, no free health care.
If there is a marked decline in the take up we can expect a reaction.

no intention of taking up the vaccine offer at the moment. when other countries start rolling out theirs i may change my mind. will not be forced into it by what i cannot do without having it. somewhere on the internet anyway you may be able to purchase a false document anyway. might be easier to get hold of than attempting to log on to pools streaming service.

this could get really interesting. if we need this extra passport to fly will we allow countries residents to fly here if their country has not took up the vaccine.

Perhaps Pfizer should mention thats its manufactured in the same plant as another one of their products and there is a possible risk of cross contamination.
That should get the take up .......UP!

I found the cafe in Fortnum and Mason most agreeable.
Not as good as the Hartlepool Railway station cafe but close.

Is there still a pub in Harrods? Have you ever been in Bluestreak? I have once, they gave you your pint as well as a silver tray , to put a tip in.

The Caviar from both establishments is agreeable but I think F&M just edge it.
The afternoon when I was invited to take tea on the Royal Yacht Britannia was an experience I will never forget.
However I never did get an answer to my question when I asked where they got the bread with no crusts on from.

I haven't been to the pub in Harrods as a find the establishment a bit vulgar. The silver tray just says it all.
I had lunch once on the Royal Yacht which was excellent and as I recall it was Cullen Skink with assorted sandwiches. What are "crusts"?

Germany is getting ready to go into hard lockdown from 16th Dec to 10th Jan. Merkel blames excessive Xmas shopping, according to the BBC.
Significantly we are reviewing our position on Dec 16th.
Could we be following suit???

It proves the lockdown is working, and that if there hadn't been one, deaths could've numbered 800-1000 a day. Letting everything let rip between 23-27 December will unravel all the good work , and figures and R rate will rise again. That's what I think anyway.

do not forget something that everyone is not mentioning and trying to ignore. New Years Eve. the night loads of adults are about and not the kids time christmas.

We could rake in a few bob this year with them 10k fines.

I haven't been to the pub in Harrods as a find the establishment a bit vulgar. The silver tray just says it all.
I had lunch once on the Royal Yacht which was excellent and as I recall it was Cullen Skink with assorted sandwiches. What are "crusts"?

Ooh look at me  I've also been on the Royal Yacht, but was arrested under the prevention of terrorism act

Apparently the Green Man pub in Harrods is no more  it was pretentious like, think I paid nearly a fiver for a pint of London Pride. The area is now occupied by the Gentleman's lounge, selling men's perfumes. Prefer aftershave myself

I prefer the term Gentlemen's Fragrances, although there are some gentlemen's fragrances that I don't prefer.

I could never understand those guys who sold perfume in posh pubs/clubs toilets, what was that all about sctatchinghead
The last thing I would want to do after popping in for a Tom tit would be to discuss the price of a bottle of Blue Stratos with a complete stranger who hangs around gentleman's toilets.

It would make sense to follow the Germans as we have high levels of noncompliance coupled with the Xmas blowout will meant he NHS won't be able to cope by mid late January when it struggles every year. For it to fail with patients in corridors or ITUs overwhelmed is politically unacceptable and so to is cancelling crimbo.
The key issue in this is managing NHS capacity and the BMA will be heavily involved.
This vaccine has arrived a too late and it takes 28 days after 1st jab for to to become fully effective meaning even if your are in the first wave and get it before new year (which I doubt will happen) thats into February so the NHS will be under immense pressure. People seem to forget the NHS has other issues to deal with like cancers joint replacements normal winter pressures etc etc etc and Covid comes with the issues that it often permanantly weakens people in unknown ways that are beginning to emerge.
Its all got very quite on the Astra Zeneca Oxford vaccine front which is currently awaiting final sign of by the regulator. Let's hope this is approved very soon as this will make a difference in the UK.
So as I see it the politicians have a choice of saving lives and the intergrtory or the NHS OR having a blow out at Xmas. Let's see what they come up with?
Perhaps its a bit like December 1944. The outcome of the war is assured but a lot of people are still going to die and be injured until this is over.
Merry Christmas
