Anything could happen second half with this useless, card happy ref. Best for Pools would be a Solihull player sent off, but Pools have a couple more on yellows so we'll likely finish up with 9 or less.

Grey done more in 90 seconds than Donaldson in 90 mins.

The red card changed the game. Solihull had done nothing to speak of up till that point and Holohan had had a shot come back off the inside of the post. Pools didn't do enough after the first goal to get back into the game (that was when Grey should have come on) and a bit of really sloppy play from Magloire gifted Moors a second. Even then Pools might have nicked a point of the game. Grey's goal bound shot deflected onto the post and then Ofosu pushed over from behind inside the box when he was in on goal (the replay was clear - should have been a penalty and a red card for their man).

Agree about Donaldson - he has been poor all season and it's past time Challinor binned him and chose a new captain. Can only assume Ferguson has picked up a knock - maybe the reason Bunney was signed?

I thought the quality of the stream was excellent.
Pity about our performance.

:text-merryxmas: :text-merryxmas: Rewind to a few weeks back.
I posted bfor the Torquay game that the result would most probably make or brake our season.
Unfortunately yet again it's anutha broken season unless u live in cloud cuckoo land.
Only Pools could win there first 3 games ( give us more false hope) dominate the 4th game without winning then go into a major freefall.

Ah well only 6/7 wins required to stop us having a derby with Darlow next season.
And Spenny + maybe South Shields.

Hindsight
Like I said about a month ago I don't expect DC or Mr Sing to both be at Pools next season.

Decent manager DC but like many bfor him he can't polish turds.

That glimmer of hope has vanished.

Anyway I don't apologise for this negative post.
I just tell it how it is.

Seasonal greetings to my fellow bunkerites.

Why after two reasonable away performances, were Johnson and Oates dropped?

Was Ferguson injured? if he was then why do I not know about it? if he wasn't then why was our best player missing?

For the first time since he came, I am starting to lose faith in DC, his team selections and formations recently just don't make sense.

Steadily going down the same old route of his predecessors, and will eventually lose the dressing room and his job.

One of our thick fans on twitter " Osbourne is a shithouse - hes in the lineo and refs face on everything "

You couldnt make this shit up, thats exactly the sort of player we need, exactly the sort of player that gets you out of this division.

Oh and the ref was shite as well, same ref who gave Torquay 5 goals when they played us. And Jesus wept.

Challinor confirmed in his post-match interview that Ferguson didn't play because he had a "niggle" but doesn't expect him to be out of action for long (https://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/latest-videos/).

He also said that Mason Bloomfield came back into the team because he was over his injury and made it clear that as far as he has a lot of belief in Bloomfield and that he is going to be getting the nod in the coming games. Got to say his hold up play is in a different league to the likes of Oates and Parkhouse - he needs to be scoring goals, but then don't they all? He didn't rule out making another signing if that doesn't improve. Grey is the ideal person to play off Bloomfield and I really hope that he gets a start on Saturday. Let's see.

As for the ref, in 17 minutes in the first half he booked 3 players and gave a straight red to another - in a game that wasn't dirty but that he was managing to lose control of anyway. Anyone who forked out £7.50 for the live stream saw that.

Sorry to say this but the only way to get out of this league is to learn how to cheat, feighn injury, waste time etc. and pick the best players to go out on the pitch, I too am begining to have some doubts about Challinor.

think with all these games coming up we are going to see a different starting 11 in every game with him not risking anyone with a slight knock. this is a problem with a small squad with so many games to get through. we might even see gray getting a bit more time on the pitch which is one plus point. ok pools lost last night but given a bit more luck and a different referee they could easily have brought something back from solihull last night.

Oates injured apparently, fair enough, but seems not only has DC signed sub standard forwards but sub standard injury prone forwards

Fair enough, missed that, apparently Oates was injured as well, don't know why they take so long to let the fans know this. You can be out 6 months with a niggle at HUFC, but this possibly the reason Bunney was signed.

Not buying the bad ref excuse, Osborne was savvy, Odusina naive, we should know how this league works by now

so why on earth don,t pools sign that type of player. you know the ones the opposition fans really hate. the meek may inherit the earth but on the football field they get you relegated. please dave find a couple of real shithouses that can play.

You need to ask Pools that question.

We had one in Liam Noble, but he was sharp sidelined when he complained about the lack of professionalism shown by some players.

Think I more or less answered this on another thread, Mr Accy. I think DC probably did, especially in relation to a striker, but shithouses who excel at their jobs usually want decent wages, anyway that's what I've found in my lifetime, in any walk of life , never mind football.
