Yes he was quite brilliant ,one of the worlds all time greats.
Was it in September he was going to sign for Sunderland?

The King is dead.

IMO the greatest footballer the world has so far produced, though Messi if he keeps it up, will probably in time overtake him.

One of the few footballers in my lifetime who stood any comparison for ball control and dribbling skills with Maradona. RIP the pair of them.

God will probably give him a bollocking for taking his name in vain and then sentence him to an age in purgatory whilst wearing a Brazilian shirt.
Could play a bit like!!

RIP.

A flawed genius, like so many who excel at their sport, art or music often are.

Always prefer the characters like Maradona, Best , Gascoigne, or even Joe Frazier, rather than the dullard do nothing wrong types like Pele, Charlton and Messi. I suppose it just makes the man on the street feel less guilty about their own flaws.

Aye, RIP. I always found it interesting that he showed his absolute best and his absolute worst in the same game. Putting aside la 'manos de Dios', that second goal showed every part of his skill, balance, strength and determination. I don't think Messi comes close to Maradona at his peak.

they will have flaws. they might not be as serious ones or having good publicity round em will help to supress news about them. if gazza actually just accidentally bumped into someone in the street it would be front page news as either assaulting someone or being so pissed up he ignored the distance law. its not all the medias fault its the number of people who love these stories to knock certain people.

I'm liking the look of Jack Grealish so far this season - loves to be on the ball, takes his man on, good range of passing, decent shot... Of course the comparisons with Gazza don't end there. He's had almost as many driving convictions as England caps this season. The likes of the Sun and the Daily Fail are going to have a field day with him for years to come.

plus if he likes the lasses those rags will set him up with a young lass who looks years older than she is just for another story. you could see the story already.
