One of their first team staff tested positive for Covid

No bad thing, gives the players a chance to recharge their batteries.

Punishing schedule, especially for us , with all the travelling we have to do. Shame we had already set off for London for this one.

Imagine during course of season some of the more savvy clubs will be postponing games now and again for whatever reason , to give players a breather. Something to keep an eye on.

being a cynic i have thought this right from the start of the season. funny how there are northern games off but i,m sure barnet is the only southern one at national league levels.

I would assume that the positive test result has to be shown to the league, to prevent this happening.

The season will probably end in August and don't rule out PPG.

I think this is genuine, I was referring more to other reasons, such as waterlogged pitches etc, games that possibly could go ahead, just ! but don't. Yep I know its the refs decision, but refs can be leaned on, reckon you will see a vairety of excuses getting used as season goes on , but to reiterate I think todays game is genuine, though not sure you have to call it off or not just because one person tested positive. sure some games have gone ahead when this has happened

Other games have went ahead today with more than one player effected.

Challinor has said the test was taken Wednesday and we were only told Friday. That’s not on.

I thought if a team called of a game thru Covid they cudent play anutha game within 14 days like they do in the Evostik league.
Yet Barnet are still playing next sat then Tuesday according to the BBC fixtures.

10 days for a positive test so tested Wed 14th, available to play Sat 24th. Anyone marked as a close contact by Track & Trace need to isolate for 14 days so that's the bigger risk of not being available next Saturday. Don't know how long it takes Track & Trace to do their thing to identify the close contacts.

Is it really needed for fit under 35 year old footballers to be tested so clubs can cancel games

Covid is mainly a pensioners desease.
Testing should be prioritised to the elderly downover.

Barnet bottled it didn't want to play an imform HUFC.

have footballers anywhere in the world ever been tested for any other disease before this popped up. how many of us have gone to the vic or out shopping passing something or another to others. barnet anyway seem to be serial postponers anyway and it makes me wonder if they actually attempted to get their pitch playable in last seasons postponements. really hope pools stuff em when the game is re arranged.

Under league rules don't games have to be rearranged as soon as possible so it could be that a few Barnet players could be below par fitness wise when we play them as we experienced with Luke Molyneaux.

Can someone keep me right on the rules of postponements, I believed the club that calls a game off are responsible for the away teams costs or for the re-arranged game costs. I don’t honestly know.

Needs something like that to prevent teams postponing games for no good reason. Maybe in covid rules?????????

at the end of the day if pools had lost all their games easily then the barnet game would have miraculously been played.

Barnet manager Peter Beadle and nine players will miss Saturday's FA Cup tie against Leiston because of positive coronavirus tests.

Six squad members and staff were diagnosed in the latest round of tests, meaning a total of 10 players have been affected in the past two weeks.

One player has to self-isolate for 14 days because of close contact tracing, despite testing negative.

and they played it. one player v pools but 10 out in a very winnable cup tie. you could not make it up. who actually decides what the rules are and what they are. totally confused.

Re-arranged for Tuesday 3rd November. Not ideal, with Salford game a few days later.
