Hi,

Has anyone, or anyone's dad or grandpa, got the programme for Pools v Lincoln City, FA Cup, November 16, 1963?
I need it to complete a collection of that round, and willing to pay very good price.

Many thanks,
Paul

you might be lucky if you try ebay or people who deal with football programmes as a business. think a lot of older fans like me gave all their programmes away at one time or another. do know that bradford park avenue club shop has 1,000 of old programmes going back to the late 50,s. so you never know its a faint possibility.

Was reading somewhere there were only 10 progammes printed for a Darlo game in early 60s, apparently the printer broke, if true that must have pushed up its value

Strangely enough Horden the price of old football programmes seems to have gone down a fair bit in recent years. Took a look at Programme Monthly for the first time in 30 years a few weeks ago and prices seemed very reasonable.
Still have loads up in the attic which I really ought to do something with. Used to collect, amongst other stuff, pre non-league Gateshead and can remember paying about £20 a go. God knows what I was thinking as i was probably well skint at the time. Worth maybe half that now I would guess. The place to go for the Pools programme is PM even these days, but I guess 'prog collector' knows that. Interesting about the 10 off for a Darlo game. Sounds like another of one a million other cock-up incidents under the stewardship of Ernest Ord! God bless his ink stained heart

I gave hundreds of my progs away in early 80s for 50 quid to fund a a trip to watch Pools away, found out later 2 of the progs were worth 50 quid alone, such is life. Its always been the case pre war and 1950 worth the most , but last 15 years bottom has certiainly dropped out of market. Like Vinyl records, you never know , they made a comeback, maybe if you hang onto progs they will too

Thanks for the comments.
I'm trying to collect all of the first round for that Nov 16, 1963 day, and need six more from 48 that include replays.
Pools 1-0 defeat to Lincoln is one of the six.
And yes, Programme Monthly does have an advert of mine for the elusive half dozen.
Cheers,
Paul

Old programmes now are cheaper than ever before. And very soon the big prices will be in programmes from the late 2010s with low print runs as even some big clubs are no longer making them.

If you have recent Bury home programmes those go for very canny prices. I imagine Macclesfield programmes will eventually be the same.

where money is concerned i have always made mistakes. remember the days when vauxhall PA cresta,s were a throw away car. had half a dozen over the years, scrapped em if they failed the test. would be a rich man if i had known. had a pools away one from the late 40,s that i gave away. no prize for gussing who the away team was. yes bloody new brighton.

Very inconsistent on what clubs are making programmes now and which arent. I'll consider picking this one up along with a Chesterfield one if I can find it cheaper.

Seems we're not making any programmes at all. While some clubs like Maidenhead are doing digital ones. Can see how print ones are expensive but certainly we could cobble together a digital one, fill with adds and charge for it.
