Anyone ever done one?

Just tried my first order from a butcher in Lincolnshire, my brother brought some sausage from there 44 years ago and I have never had a better sausage like it since, fingers crossed.

It arrived yesterday in a cool box type thing and what a joy, proper pork pie with jelly in, dry cured bacon, Lincolnshire sausage which I had for breakfast, bloody lovely too, proper ham, lean gammon and various proteins.

Deffo do it again.

The sausage is the main problem, chewy skins and I like Lincolnshire sausage but local ones pale into significance, pork pie with jelly in and hot water crust, not soggy but crisp, dry cured bacon so none of that white jizzy stuff in pan with properly smoked over beechwood rather than smoke flavour, I could go on....oh the burgers were lovely, kids said best we had, no grizzly bits in!

The ham was superb, no water and tastes of when my mam used to get it from the butchers.

Had what i think they called 97% ones.
Thought they were quite good.
Tried the week after the vegetarian ones that were green (it looked like something you got in a brothel in Saigon) but i thought were tasty.

Yes I did. I haven't ordered anything as yet but I'm interested. When things get better I intend to visit them either in Boston Lincs or at one of the markets they stand at. We often attend various events at the Lincolnshire showfield.

Lincolnshire sausage have the least meat content over other sausage.

It`s the flavour and the skin on these, you know them orrible chewy ones on most sausage, these are lovely, still 85% which is 84% more than is a Richmond!
