It begins.

Infections rising rapidly and no infrastructure to fight it in most countries. Much like AIDS, this will kill possibly millions in the continent and potentially create a second wave.

I see a graph earlier that showed a sharp increase in the more developed countries along with anecdotal evidence of gravediggers being ultra busy. That’s about as reliable as you get in Africa as data collection isn’t top priority when you live in a shanty town.

Logic dictates that when you’re in a village with a single tap and habitually share accommodation it’s going to spread.

You could multiply them figures on that graph by x10 and still be well off the mark .

Africa will always be a shithole, the western capitalist powers will make sure of it , I mean , imagine if all the African countries got their act together and worked something out for the benefit of them all , it could be one of the most powerful continents on earth , same with the Middle East and South America , but the Americans backed up by the UK will always make sure that will never be the case , by constantly creating and shoring up proxy wars. Anyone who realises this and attempts to do something about such as Gaddaffi , Mandela and Mugabe or put on the hit list. Its criminal in a world so rich that many of the problems that exist in Africa , existed when I was a kid. Yet in that time huge commercial districts have appeared on the skyline of most if not all of its major cities.

This is one of my main concerns. If it takes off in Africa then the expression "deep shit" will be a gross understatement.

I think Mr I is right here and it will be carnage in Africa and the Indian subcontinent and we will never know the true figure........a bit like Russia's death toll after ww2.....now was it 20 million or 30 million?
And yes these places pose a real risk 2nd and 3 waves unless we put the appropriate measures in place.
Poor buggers.
