I know it's a bit early but my optomism is fully renewed but I'm still not predicting a result so what do you all think?

Will the crowd finally break the 4000 barrier?

Will the water be cold?

Pools 3 Ebbsfleet 0
4001
No ! but who gives a flying fook!

Executive management intervene to quell fans revolt and crank up fridges. Water freezes, bottles crack, power cut then fridges flood and explode. No chilled water for rest of season.

What a time to be alive as Pools hit top gear and run out rampant 4-0 winners over Ebbsfleet International FC, Mollyknew, Touray, Shellton and Mark Kitchen.

3891 in attendance, about 78 of them from the darn sarf.

Is Richardson fit to fill in at right back as presume Hales is out?

Shame Luton didnt agree to loan us Kioso back when he left us as they dont even put him in their match day squad do they?

Could drop Donaldson back there and bring Gus in I guess.

4 or 5 weeks ago I would of been Hopeing we win a game like this.
But now I expect us to win comfortably.
But 4000 crowd! No chance at £20 a pop.

Anyway
Us 3
Them 1
3498 in attendance.

if we are going to drop any points at home i,d prefer it to be tomorrow and not the halifax game. s-hales will be a big miss as our run has seemed to co incide with our form improving . at the moment there is no one really to cover his position where you could feel safe with. should be a 4000 plus gate but more like 3500 to witness a 1 all draw.

I sort of see what you're saying but in reality I don't think we can afford anything other than three points at home against a team who's in the relegation zone. We'd need to beat Halifax too, of course, but you have to look at it with the assumption that no other promotion contenders are going to let Ebbsfleet get anything off them at home. There's already concern that throwing away points earlier in the season against teams at the foot of the table might come back to haunt us. It's a cracking opportunity to keep the confidence levels high and improve the goal difference to boot.

Agree that Southam-Hales missing is a big shame. Hope the lad recovers well. Looked like a nasty knock he took.

do think we need a minimum of 20 points before the end of the season. knowing pools they will make it as hard as possible for us. may end up winning all the away games and drop points at home. be glad when 5pm comes tomorrow as its got to the stage where i,m not bothered about the game apart from getting 3 points.

What happened? Sounded like the second half descended into chaos after whatever the incident was.

I think more time should be spent on the training ground practising shooting but out of the reach of the opposition keeper. We must have had 6 or 7 efforts which the keeper didn’t have to save as they were all straight at him. He didn’t have 1 difficult save to make.

Classic senario that has been a Pools favourite throughout the years: put together a few good results, draw a big home crowd and lose. As a Pools fan one must get used to this happening.

I’ll end this thread with a plus point. I was travelling up with a friend from here in the south for him to watch a match at Pools. Early Grand Central from Kings Cross was cancelled so instead we got moved to the LNER service, that meant enough time to have breakfast and a pint at St Pancras. As we were in First Class it was a good thing as we got another breakfast and than early lunch.GC arranged a taxi from Darlo to Hartlepool which meant we arrived 66 minutes late. Today I received 2 compensation tickets from GC because our delay was over an hour. I’ll be using them for the playoff match if we get there. Always make sure to put the claim in. Now for the footie..over to you Pools.. please make it happen.

They say good luck bad luck
And dodgy refereeing decisions even themselves over the course of a season.
Unless you support Hufc.
Maybe Higgy was right that shit refs cost us 10 points and that's just bfor Xmas.
Ya c better and more controlled refs on the Rec n Grayfields.

i make mistakes every time i go onto a pitch on my own. usually get away with it as i apologise to the players and admit to the cock up made. some however try anything to justify a wrong decision then start carding lads for dissent. those who still play will all know the type, every area has at least one.

Halifax v EBBSFLEET.
Would imagine there managers team talk is:
Lads we gunna hav to hav a day off from our usual tactics of being cheating bastards seen as we can't beat live TV evidence.
Halifax 3 them 1

halifax could be shocked by their change of tactics and not expecting this. 1 nil to ebbs fleet just to help pools after last week.
