A tough 1-0 win.

Visiting supporters to rib the home manager over his name.

Spot on Hartleblue!

The team that wants it (playoffs) most will win. A draw is no good for Pools.

Have I missed something? A draw could see us two points off the play offs with 9 games to go. Even if we get beat in theory it could still only be three points with a better goal difference than Stockport. If we do get beat I hope the players and management dont decide its season over!

We need to win tonight because we really need to build some kind of momentum going into the final part of the season. It's now or never, like.

Great result which must be followed up with a home win against Ebbsfleet.

The draw at Ebbsfleet for me was the low point of the season as we managed to give up a two goal lead against ten men from the bottom of the league. No more cock-ups please.

Absolutely. Out of those three wins, two have been against teams at the foot of the table too (Maidenhead and Chorley) and they also lost 4-0 away at Chesterfield who are themselves battling against the drop. Our home form coupled with the confidence that must be flowing through the squad will surely see us put them away.

Chorley, Ebbsfleet and Fylde. Three games we really should have won. We'd be 3rd with those 6 extra points. But what's done is done. Three points on Saturday and I'll be very happy.

Brilliant result. No slip ups on Saturday, if you please. Keep the home form going plus a point or three away and it could be done.

I said yesterday that I would be happy with four points this week, but we really must beat Ebbsfleet. We won't take them lightly. They've won three of their last six and will probably come to frustrate. But they have also never been higher than 22nd all season. They have to be put away.

agree with all that. just cannot take em too lightly because of their league position. my lad saw em last saturday and said they were unlucky to lose that game and missed loads of chances. seems when a side is struggling they never get the rub of the green. something pools seem to be getting now they are on a run. going to be a long week to 3pm saturday afternoon.

slowly creeping into to games being in the must win catagory to get into the play offs. think we are all more confident now than earlier in the season.

Sounds like a very effective away performance, a must win game and job done. Shame that Hales will be missing at weekend though.

Not sure on the stats (Madjohn may know) but it certainly feels like were not conceding late goals anymore since Challinor improved the fitness etc. Off top of my head I can only think of Dover and that must have been early January?

Be interesting to know how many were conceding 2nd half now compared to say under Hignett.

there has been a couple of so slip ups after hignett left, but the majority of points thrown away were in his regime. thing is that if this had not happened he,d still be at the club boring me and others to death with his tactics.
