On checking has started only 11 league games this season yet has 8 goals to his name, pretty impressive ratio for a midfielder, can we not play him up front and bring Kennedy back in?

The lad obviously knows where the back of the net is.

Maybe Hignett was right about the postage stamps!!

He’s already playing as one of the forwards or he was the other night, the midfield three were Featherstone, Mafuta and Shelton? Donaldson and Holohan played off Kabamba.

Playing off in a striker making late runs into the box and finding little pockets of space is very different to actually playing up front in the National League with your back to goal with some clogger trying to boot and elbow you. I’d suggest he’s best suited to the sort role he played the other night, either number 10 or left or right of a central striker.

Please don’t tell me you were at the game because I can see that from 3,500 miles away!

Looked to me as though he was playing in a 5 man midfield with Kabamba up front on his own, especially in the first half which was dire. Surely you could see that from 3500 miles away?, ...you smarmy know-it-all.

Whatever you call the system 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 he’s one of the attacking midfielders which is his position and very different to playing as a striker. Why when someone is playing well would you want to play him out of position to accommodate a player who isn’t in the managers plans and free to leave the club?

Kabamba was flicking the ball on to nobody the other night, as if he'd forgotten he was up front on his own. He isn't a target man for me, falls over far too easily. We have an obvious lack of centre forwards atm, playing with 7 midfielders away at the likes of Dover will not get you anything. The ball will come back at you far too much.
There's no substitute for witnessing this actually at a game, rather than guessing with your headphones on 3500 miles away.

We have one available striker you pick the best team you can to win the game, we won the game. You are more likely to win by picking in form players in familiar roles than trying to shoehorn square pegs into round holes.

It was directed to PJ.

There are certain people, who used to be at the club, who went out and brought in more midfielders than we need when actually they (and the fans were saying this) should have been sourcing defenders and strikers. Hence we are where we are. Languishing in mid table scraping points off the teams who don't turn up on the day and getting well beaten off the ones who are organized.

I think under Challinor the one thing that is most noticeable is that its nigh on impossible to say we are rigidly playing a certain formation. The modern term is probably "fluid" or some such shite. Its constantly changing.

I always think players at this level struggle to play in a different position and you often get the best out of them by keeping things simple however maybe the extra freedom given to them will get the best out of them?
