I'm assuming Oxford won't rest many players for this game, so unfortunately (on our recent form albeit v Harrogate) I'm going for 3-0 to them. sadx

Because we have a game plan which I assume includes Donaldson, Kitching and Kerr, I'm going 4-0 to them.

if the players play well and win it will make things more annoying than they are at the moment. going for a shock 2-1 win.

Predicting results at the moment, to paraphrase Dave Allen, is like looking for a black cat at midnight in a moonless sky in a coal house in a blackout, except some people think they’ve found it.

The keeper should have done better with that.

4-1 was maybe a bit harsh but they stepped it up second half and had some very good players. I’m glad we didn’t go out as a result of that penalty decision as it was ridiculous and third has suspicions of offside about it. I thought the keeper looks solid and more commanding than Killip but I did think he was a bit slow to get down to the crucial first goal.

For Oxford's first goal, the ball took an unfortunate bobble - I feel he would have saved it otherwise.

Yet another one half performance!
2-0 up at Ebsfleet - then let 10 men draw level.
2-0 up at Harrogate then lose.
The half time team talks must be something to behold.

However well done for getting to the third round.

A slight step up in opposition today as a matter of balance and we wouldn’t been at Oxford today without our own second half come back at Exeter.

As soon as Kitching went to left back we conceded 3 goals, he can attack but not defend.

Apart from the penalty that never was in a million years none of the goals had much to do with Kitching. We were chasing shadows at times in that second half a good side stepped it up a notch I wouldn’t point fingers at individuals we lost to a much better team. We went to three at the back for the last two goals chasing the game.

Love to see Rowe join pools, doubt we could afford him unless his contract is coming to an end.

Managed to get to the game today, only the second time this season so I loved being there despite the result.

What's the story with Beeney? I know he played the other day but I haven't seen owt on the site about when he signed or where from?!

I thought we did ok really. Donaldson looks a different player to the one I watched last season. I thought he'd turned a corner performance-wise last season because he was decent. Today there was plenty of effort but he left his man a few times leaving their winger with a free cross. He also seemed frustrated most of the game, more with himself than anyone else.

I really hope this is the start of Molyneaux playing regularly again because he did well for the 10 minutes he played.

That young lad from Hull looked handy too, what's he been like in the other games he's played?

Looked a nailed on penalty to us at the end of the first half when Kitching went down. Why would he go down, he was through? And it's not like he wouldn't have fancied scoring because he'd already beaten the keeper once. All in all the ref had a shit game as far as I'm concerned. The number of fouls he didn't give us (especially for climbing/holding when the ball was in the air) but then gave them for literally fuck all was embarrassing. And their penalty? What the fuck? So fucking annoying when the ref has a massive hand in spoiling the game.

Anyway, we can now concentrate on the league etc blah bollocks

Donaldson has been dreadful all season, no end product and pulls his shirt when frustrated or he fucks up, I do not understand why Challinor picks him, we obviously see a different view from the stand.

Beeney last played for an Irish club, he looks assured but goes down in instalments.

Donaldson has played in every position in about 3 weeks he clearly is bright and can adapt to a number of different positions. This is exactly what you need in a sqaud. His best games have come at right full back or wing back but given we have kioso and Richardson there make sense to get him to fill in other places. You singling him out just shows your lack of knowledge yet again.

Challinor said Richardson was struggling at half-time, so why not replace him with Cunningham ?

If you think he is clearly bright and adaptable, I would give up watching football, he hasn`t had any good games, did you not watch the game when he was covering at right back and got done twice in as many minutes?
And I have a lack of knowledge

Cracking effort from Fylde at Premier League Sheffield United this afternoon.

Appreciate Oxford are a tidy team but can't help but be disappointed with the capitulation so soon after the Harrogate drubbing. We rode our luck in the first half and struggled to get hold of anything - and the second half we got completely steam-rolled.

How many 'clear-outs' do we need before we actually produce a team good enough to compete at the top end of the Conference? Clear DC doesn't rate many of them - and i'm not disagreeing whatsoever. Same old shit!

Donaldson has filled in about 6 positions over Christmas it's going to impact your performance if you are chopping and changing all the time. No one is saying he is a world bester just that he is covering positions and you might want to think about that when assessing his performance.

Capitulation is very harsh we were in the tie for 84 minutes the last two goals were after went 3-4-3 chasing the game plus the fourth was never penalty in a million years. Add to that as daft as it sounds Oxford away is probably a harder draw or at least as hard a draw as a team like Sheffield United at the minute. It was a big game for Oxford they want a big draw nearly as much as us, a club like Sheffield United don’t give a single shite about the FA Cup they made eleven changes, Premier League is all that matters.

thank goodness pools didn,t play sheffield united yesterday. lots of money wasted by fans to see sheffield united reserves even with a win. about time these clubs get fined for playing weakened sides and the money given to their opponents.

Out of contract at the end of this season. He’s 29, has scored 9 goals this season, but 3 where in a cup game against Peterborough Sports in the FA Cup qualifying round, a 6-1 win.

Jim Bentley is actively looking for a couple of strikers. Fylde turned down two offers for him in 2019, one which was 50k and was described by the club as ‘derisory’, at the end of the last transfer window Rowe asked to be made aware of any clubs who were interested in him, he was told if an acceptable offer was made they’d tell him.

He’ll want some security at 29 and out of contract in 6 months, time to move on?

Previous clubs fleetwood, Stockport, Lincoln and Fylde since November 2014.

Not that I’ve been researching Danny Rowe at all today
