The first one is possibly a foul, but thats pushing it for the second I think he had the first in his head.

It’s sad that will probably end up as his last professional appearance. The whole thing looked awful, the weather looked minging the floodlights were about the strength of candlelight, nobody there, dreadful 3g pitch. Depressing stuff!! Just about every goal we concede is terrible in some way.

It's heartbreaking to see one of your former heroes perform so poorly. Hopefully it's just a bit of rustiness, he was playing in the Championship last season.

I could just about see someone in a goalkeeper top. There was no sign of it being Dimi. Perhaps it was so dark that someone kidnapped him and took his place? Maybe it was that new-fangled 3G pitch causing odd behaviour to someone not used to playing on it. Pleased that we're playing them again so soon in the format that really matters. Nice as a cup run is, at least the distraction from the League is out of the way. I'd not fancy being in the changing room after that display.

Funny you mention the pitch, I did wonder if it played a part in their penalty. It's much easier to slip on astroturf I find.

No way should they be allowed in professional football. Why have a pitch you aren’t allowed to use in the League above? Challinor mentioned even have to pick a team based on it before it as certain players are at bigger risk of injury.

clubs have these pitches to make more money for their clubs by hiring em out throught the week. not convinced they are the future of the game but neither is ploughing through mud 70,s style is either. if every club had them it would be fine and a level playing field. some cannot play on em and risk injury when they do while others revel in em. as a referee i love em this time of year as its better than the mus alternative.
