Got to defend better as a team if we are to progress its going to be a hard game to win how ever give it our best and hope on the night we have a bit of luck.

Heres hoping Kioso plays and will he play Mitchell Beeney who signed over the weekend and was with the team on Saturday.

Mitchell Beeney goal keeper 24 years old 6ft 6ins last club Sligo career began with Chelsea.

Ah the mighty Sligo, his brother a keeper too but maybe not, without a club, both of them :?
Nothing wrong with Killip, defence is shaky.

Mark Simpson said he had signed the same sort of contract as Dimi and travelled with the team.

Can we just pay on the gate for this one or do we have to queue up at Ticket office first etc?

Beeney is definitely at the club, they tweeted it on Saturday and showed pics of him warming up.

I can't go tonight as I'm entertaining a group of ladies with my after dinner stories. Problem is my wife and daughter will be there so that cramps my style somewhat.
They'll be getting updates on their phones so I'll know what's going on.
So I'll say 3-1 to us.

True story, the treatment I am receiving for my health issue is making my farts absolutely foul, I can empty supermarkets quicker than it takes to make a pot noodle.

The commercial department are missing an opportunity here.
Trap and can it and put on sale in shop and online to a worldwide audience.
Probably more profitable than a FA cup run.

If Milo’s going up he’ll need a rope around his waist and a plank over his arse... and his sister, one very nasty rat ripper.
That should sort Mr Butt out.

Well done lads. Whisper it but this team is developing some serious bottle.

Prize money up to £54k and the Oxford game is worth an additional £90k

Scrappy game how ever 1-0 flattered exeter the amount of chances we had was unreal.

If they are 2nd in their league must be a poor league, that was one of the easiest games ive seen for a while.

Great performance, special mention to Kerr and Raynes who bossed it. Easily Kerrs best game for us.

We pressed from minute 1 and the fitness levels were exceptional. James has certainly gained an extra yard of pace recently, who flew past their centre half with such ease at one point, shame about his injury.

Toure had a shocking 60 minutes or so but fair play to Challinor for leaving him on, he got better and better as the game wore on as was vital in getting the win.

Not a bad performance between the lot of them.

Brilliant stuff

Was 54k for the win tonight, I make it we’ve collected 100k this season. Winning a third round game pays a further 135k.

Hartlepool join fellow fifth-tier side AFC Fylde as the only other non-league club to have made it through to the third round.

Agree with tReE, Kerr was immense and did what a centre half should do, hoof the fucker and his throw ins were decent also.
Richardson was really good also, he has a turn of speed and saved us 3 times when last man.
Played better when James went off :hand:

We are not far away from being decent, just need to pull Donaldson, Kitching(who was bog awful again defending) and James.

I know Toure is unpredictable but he baffles himself most of the time, needs to know when to pass the ball.

I understand Gime played Hawkes through for the goal from the edge of the box (according to reports). Is that a fair reflection or HUFC sugar coating the report?

Yeah he got the assist, was a strange night for Gimme, kept getting in great positions but just kept losing the ball or falling over. Especially first half.

Was still a constant pain and got better as game wore on.

I have no idea but presume he was a League ref. Took no bullshit and straight over shoving Toure and their defender apart when they squared up.

Not sure he was going to send their player off till Raynes started screaming in his face mind but think he got everything spot on tbh.

Thank goodness for a clean sheet. Hopefully Kerr can maintain the form that made him an outstanding defender at Gateshead.

While celebrating the win 100%, I do feel for Exeter.

Travelling on a Tuesday night to play a non-league team on their patch in the Baltic conditions. They were always onto a lose-lose scenario. The journey home must've been particularly depressing.

Hey ho, that's footy.

... and we won.

From the Exeter City forum:

"Didn’t Jeff Stelling famously and repeatedly say (in an advert forSky)?

‘It’s a long to go from Hartlepool to Exeter to lose in the 93rd minute.’

Looks as if we lost in exactly that minute, albeit in extra rather than added time"

Almost well predicted Jeff.

Exeter City giving each of the 69 travelling fans £20, nice gesture.

Oxford have a home quarter final with Manchester City on the 18th December! It's a pity that its not closer to the 4th January, we'd be well off their radar.
