I believe this fixture is due to be played day after the morrow (Saturday 16 November 2019)

What will happen if Yeovil's few morons abuse Inih Effiong in shades of the Pools' match? Hopefully it passes off peacefully. Yeovil Town are already in trouble (as are Pools) so need to up their stewarding. A friendly message to both parties in the interests of fair play. If you score against Yeovil Inih don't cup your ear and milk it. Shake hands with a team mate like in the old days mate. And Yeovil fans abuse him all you like and with my blessing but it doesen't have to be racist just good old fashioned I hate your fuckin' guts you Dover whatever 'cause you scored against us. Simples. Its how it should be. Unless of course you all wish to be Cholmley Warners old chum.

Because you are satirically blaming the players for reacting to morons as if they are the issue. Dover’s fans haven’t been involved at all yet they are being called out. Plus I don’t really think racism it’s purest form is much of laughing matter.

Much as I respect your posts PJ Poolie I can't see where I am calling out Dover's fans? It was a Bunkerite maybe controversial topic about a match due this weekend which might involve a player and club's fans with a potential unsavoury clash. And yes i I do blame the said player for reacting as he did. True, he didn't deserve racist abuse but he did incite. If you disagree then fine. Haven't actually heard much about Dover's fans reactions to all of this. They were in the Rink End of course so would have been difficult to hear what went on at the Town End. Still mystified about calling out Dover's fans. Sorry.

The game wasn’t a badge of honour it was just about the lowest point in our history.

Your are inadvertently calling out Dover fans/players/the club by even mentioning them, for me it’s an incident we should move on from, and one I am incredibly embarrassed about. I wouldn’t want to be starting threads in block capitals about that day. Anyone can read this forum.

It's got fuck all to do with Dover's fans. OK don't mention it and it will go away? Why are you embarrassed about it? It wasn't you. I respect your right to disagree with me or and take issue which you have which is fine by me but your insistance about Dover's fans mystifies me. I expect you will have something to say if Pools get their FA cup winnings wiped out with a fine and maybe even worse. I see it as fair comment. Couldn't you just say sorry mate disagree with you rather than delete. Free speech truly is threatened by such comments.

I am embarrassed about it, because I don’t want my club being thought of due to actions of idiots.

Is this thread real or am I having one of those funny dreams again? How are people still finding ways to justify racial abuse? shake my head.

Your petty sniping at PJ isn't relevant or appropriate here. Whoever is wrong or right, using a thread on this subject to further your personal agenda is poor behaviour.

Laughing smilies, childish taunts and no response to the main point. Great post.

The day obviously has y in it as monketbutt is being an absolute bellend again. What an absolute sad act. Anyway that’s pretty standard.

The delete comment was because I think it’s wrong to try and make light of the incident and the op shows us in bad light in my opinion. No disrespect intended or ill feeling I just don’t think these views reflect well on the club or Town given what happened. As I said anyone can read this board and although I am sure the intentions weren’t bad it doesn’t look good.

Ok Poolies. I take you points. I hope Yeovil Town v Dover Athletic passes off peacefully with no racist abuse or bellend behaviour including chucking things at Athletic's goalkeeper. Written in the interests of harmony and good will. Furthermore I don't wish to ever see or hear of such goings on as happened at our Dover game. Will that suffice? Finally, Peter, can you fire one in from fifty yards out tomorrow thank you.

Can we please differentiate about fans criticising any player and as long as there are no racial connotations involved I see no problem. Please don’t read racism into everything, anyone can be criticised for acting like a plank.

The incident at the Vic and the one in Haringey was racism in its purest form, what needs differentiating?

Not exactly PJ. The incident at Haringey was as you say racism in its purest form. The incident at the Vic was racism plus an over the the top wind up by the Dover player and a weak referee who could probably have prevented it.
