Man unsure if he’s a left-wing Labour voter or a far-right racist
5th November 2019

A NORTHERN man is undecided as to whether to back the most radically left-wing Labour party of his lifetime or a bunch of far-right hardcore racists.
Roy Hobbs, from Hartlepool, has voted Labour all his life but admits he is tempted by the Brexit party’s diametrically opposed political views.
He said: “I do like public services, the NHS, higher taxes on billionaires and more rights for workers. But I’m also drawn to abolishing the public sector, privatising the NHS, no taxes on billionaires and no rights for workers.
“I’ve got no problem with Eastern Europeans, including the ones who were so nice when my mum had a cancer scare, but I think they all need to be deported. Why can’t one party offer me both?
“Farage is definitely ahead on the xenophobia but then Corbyn’s anti-Semitic, which evens things out. I just can’t decide whether a Venezuela-style economic collapse or a no-deal national disaster is more me.”
Daily Mash 5th Nov 2019
He added: “We do need sustainable regional development in this area. But I think, when it comes down to it, I’ll probably vote against the gays.”

how many others have left wing or right wing views depending on the subject being talked about. thats the problem i have always found with politics. could never get really involved as i would never follow a part line all the way just because that party said one thing or another.

Two former Labour MPs have urged party supporters to vote for Boris Johnson, with one saying Jeremy Corbyn is "unfit" to lead.
Ian Austin, who left the Labour party earlier this year, said he would lose friends over his plea as he gave an emotional interview on Kay Burley@Breakfast.
"I can't really believe it's come to this but I think I need to tell people that Jeremy Corbyn isn't fit to lead the Labour Party," Mr Austin said, adding: "He's certainly not fit to lead the country."
He was joined shortly after by John Woodcock, who is also standing down in this election, who said he would be voting Conservative despite being a Labour MP for years.

Any idea who the Tory or lib dems candidates are?
It would be interesting to hear how many ex Tory MPs think boris Johnson is unfit to be PM?...............many multiples of 2 I would think.

A Labour guy with no political career at all says he can’t support Labour anymore and it’s front page news. Kenneth Clarke, with a long career, says he can’t support the Tories anymore. No coverage at all. [scratches head. ]

Interesting that you fail to mention that these two both now work for the tory party. I wonder why that fact isn't in that report.

Because it’s out and out propaganda and brainwashing. The Tory’s have even been doctoring interviews that appeared GMTV. Social media is a powerful tool these days people see little snippets of ‘news’ and believe it.

I agree that Corbyn is pretty unelectable and not a Prime Minister. But genuine people need to get this abhorrent Tory Government out. That is the priority in this general election, this is the worst government of all time they can not be allowed to continue to cause irreparable damage to our country.

I’m sorry you’re right this government are doing a fine job, the country is in a great state and last few years especially have been halcyon days.

Who do people like Boris Johnson, Jacob Rees Mogg, Micheal Gove actually represent? Certainly nobody from the North East of England. Johnson isn’t fit for any form of public office.

They are all terrible. But that doesn't mean anyone in the north east should suddenly believe the Tories are their friends. We need a hung parliament again and hopefully someone with the balls to propose PR and have enough support to get it through.

Didn't we have a referendum on PR in 2011.

It simply highlights how fucked it actually is.

‘Boris’ seems to have been getting loads of love in the flooded areas this week. The response appears to have been ‘fuck off you odious rarf’

Publicity stunts, propaganda, outright lies. Zero substance. The arsehole isn’t fit to run a bath never mind fit for any form of public office.

Nick Boles (ex-tory MP)

"In the blue corner we have a compulsive liar who has betrayed every single person he has ever had any dealings with: every woman who has ever loved him, every member of his family, every friend, every colleague, every employee, every constituent.
As a senior member of his Cabinet once put it to me: 'You can always rely on Boris...to let you down.' His bumbling braggadocio disguises an all-consuming ego utterly without conscience, empathy or restraint."

Pretty much sums him up ...

and yet in Brexit loving Hartlepool the simple folk still love him because the only words he appears to need to utter are get brexit done and take back control. The rest pails into insignificance.

Baffles me that people will vote for parties who don't care if people suffer over a party that want to stop suffering.

Each to their own I guess, slogans over lives seems to be the way things go these days.

Putting aside the headbanging Thatcherite lunatics and deranged jingoistic fringe I think the key argument was always that the Tories were competent managers of the economy. There'd be good times and bad but they'd be careful and could be trusted in government. Labour, although meaning well, would bollocks everything up so people would end up worse off no matter how good their intentions.

Now that the beyond Thatcherite right and completely rabid nationalists have taken over it is really hard to see how anybody still believes these old myths but loads do. They've fucked the economy twice over, decimated the NHS, buggered education, slashed the police and let robbers make a fortune from what should be public services. Still, all they need to do is lie about spending to fix it all and that's OK.

How can anybody imagine a less competent government that the Tories over the last few years? Pick any area of policy and they've done badly even judged on their own criteria. The last year has been total chaos, Johnson even managed to destroy his own majority. Still, Diane Abbott made some mistakes during a TV interview when her diabetes wasn't being controlled properly so Labour would be shit.

I was jumping up and down and screaming during the acquisition of HUFC by "JPNG" shouting, they're lying, they are a couple of conmen who are going to asset strip HUFC.

The really frustrating thing was that there were people prepared to believe the lies. And look what happened. The only consolation is the fact that we were powerless to prevent the treachery by the man, and organisation, that had been entrusted the custodianship of HUFC. We last millions and almost the club itself. Due diligence was done and ignored. It was a betrayal of the highest order ("be careful what you wish for", he said).

It's the same all over again, but on a national scale. But this time we do actually have a choice.

The population are being lied to by a bunch of self-serving, smug, rich kids (36 million bus etc).
The people are being lied to and manipulated into signing away their own National Health service and social protection, so that the smug rich kids can get richer and make their own positions even less accountable.

The turkeys are voting for christmas, again.

I get the fact that people like Mr I, an ex serviceman, hates Corbyn, but all of the above puzzles, frustrates and angers me.

Who goes onto become mayor of one of the great cities in the world, a labour strong hold who does such a bad job he gets re-elected for a second term.
