Plenty of chances for a local fixture with Darlo, York, Gateshead, Harrogate, Whitby,Sunderland and Carlisle in too.I reckon we'll get Ipswich away.

First choice would be the bye and the cash, second I'd take the lowest ranked team at home please Maldon and Tiptree.

Tell me Port Stanley Rovers aren’t in the draw.

And Port Stanley sounds like somebody who would enjoy drinking it.

Sunderland away would be brilliant otherwise a local (ish) team at home would do me.

Would you go by coach or Task Force Travel?

Ball number 71 - Chichester. The lowest ranked team in the draw. Get the bye to the next round, excellent.

The shittest thing about being non-league is getting to the first round of the FA Cup and getting a non-league team. Bring back Bert Millichip and his homo-erotic velvet sack.

Did I just read some of the comments on the club’s Facebook post correctly; comments on ‘false’ racist allegations? What on earth are they suggesting? I rarely read the comments, and that’s why.

The media will be rubbing their hands together over this. Chances are it will be Yeovil away, but whoever we play will have the spotlight on it.

I disagree the worst type of draw is the one we got last year, Gillingham away, crap crowd and we ultimately went out. Either way we have a winnable tie here given we seem better away from home, the money at this stage is in being on TV failing that it's progressing, we have drawn a team we'd be fancied to beat or a team we recently beat. It could have been better but it could have been far worse. Darlo's draw is shitter, Walsall away they'll be sharing a sub 2,500 gate (with probably reduced prices) no chance of it being on telly and likely defeat. I have just had a rare glance at Darlo uncovered and it be could a measure of the last time they played in the FA Cup first round that some are predicting a 5,500 crowd!!? Gillingham v Pools last year was 2,100 or something from memory.

I was thinking on Saturday that it was probably the first time we have been on the same fixture list as the Loids since the the original version went out of the League or did they reach round one while they were still in the Conference? Either way a long time.

By the way I hope Haringey win the replay, nothing against Yeovil but if it's them we have to play people are going call it El Klanico or something.

[quote="PJPoolie"] Gillingham v Pools last year was 2,100 or something from memory.
if it was not for the sponsorship money then pools like a lot of away clubs would have lost money on the game. magic of the cup my arse. only the checkatrade or whatever they call it gets lower crowds apart from early league cup rounds.

Hope you're not the financial adviser, cheap cider and super-strength lager snakebite isn't a wise investment.

Rather have Walsall away than Yeovil. People always get carried away with predictions as usual, same on this board too, so dont get all high and mighty just because some Darlo fans think Walsall fans will turn up in force.

I wasn’t being high and mighty just really realistic about the likely attendances they are poor for the first round of the cup these days, sad but true.

I’m not sure why you’d pick the harder game either!? Each to their own. Both draws are pretty crap ours could be worse yours not much, but playing someone in the same league (who you beat a few weeks ago) or possibly a team from a lower division is surely a better draw than someone from two divisions above when they are likely to attract similar attendances? I’m not saying Walsall aren’t beatable but....

I'd pick Walsall over Yeovil on the grounds that we haven't played a league team in years and its a damn sight closer!
Also, one is a team on a downer and the other having a good season so we probably have a better chance of causing an upset at the team on a downer.
The attendance will be crap as you say, however it seems that plenty of Darlo fans are up for the trip so maybe we might make it a half decent crowd!

doubt there will be many more than 3000 there but it is a type of game that causes a shock. home side in a bad run of form with maybe a poor side plus darlo have nowt to loose.
