Cunningham looked really good, would like to see him start the next game after today. Toure looks unstoppable and Killip did well too. Just a shame the ref seemed to have very poor vision, poor mathematical skills or both. Still don't fully understand why Mafuta got booked just because the ref didn't see him not get on the pitch?

Hignett must of gave some team talk, probably like the one he gave when Dover played us. Remind me why people don't rate him again?

Comfortable, solid win. Cunningham very good - won everything that came his way, Mafuta great again, thought Toure had an off game but still got two goals. Decent game from Killip too.

Think it's time to stick with 352 for a run of games.

Ps the postage stamp lot were out in force, directed at Featherstone - 'you have spoilt the fucking game' and 'get it fucking forward'

Was obvious to anyone he came on just to slow the game down and for us to keep the ball and see the game out.

Polar opposite to Saturday that game,had a bit of everything and we came out deserved winners. Some really good performances today especially Cunningham, noble,kioso and kitching. Nice to see Toure scoring poachers goals and Luke James back to being a pest. Good atmosphere,sun shining and a pools win, good day all round! On the downside some people still moaning at noble and a few others,get the bloody thing forward man, 4-2 up with 2 mins to go I'd settle for keeping the ball.

Probably Raynes and Kerrs best games too, 3 at the back seemed to suit them all as did the wing back roles for Kioso and Kitching.

352 definitely the way to go for now till Molyneaux fit anyway. Not sure how we would get the best out of him in that formation.

Nothing to be scared of in this league. Lets hope we can do it again at Torquay next week and get some sory of run going.

Agree about raynes and Kerr, they were good at chorley and continued on from there today. The likes or raynes and Kennedy haven't played a lot of football in the last year and need games to get to their best.

Noble and Featherstone are Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee for a section of our crowd. Today it was Noble's turn to have a good game - it was great to see Luke James torturing defenders again with the service he was getting from him. Featherstone coming on with different instructions just gave them a chance to vent.

Got to believe that when a few more are back fit, Pools are going to have a stronger match day squad than most teams in the division - a bit like England in the rugby, if the starting 11 doesn't get ya the bench will.

Much, much better today, it was good to see the side not being fazed by the Taffy’s flukey opener and immediately striking back before ht. Toure has added an element of threat not seen at the Vic for a number of years. To be honest the scoreline flattered the opposition who looked well ragged by the end. Fair play to Higgy for getting his team selection spot on (5x changes from Saturday coupled with Chorleys 5-1 thrashing at Notts put Saturday’s bore draw truly in perspective) and also for stating that this cannot be yet another false dawn. A minimum of 4 points from the Torquay and Barrow games must now represent an achievable target ahead of the tough televised clash with Woking.

Great result, exactly what was needed and hopefully sets up a good run now.

I see that Mafuta forgot his GPS and had to return to get it before running on to the pitch without permission, hence the yellow card. GPS, FFS? If I'm reading that correctly, I know that all sorts of devices are used these days but I wasn't even aware that it was used in matches.

It's yonks since I last kicked a ball in earnest but we trained, had a bit of coaching, tried our best with the skill we had and just, er, played. Opinions of our performance was largely down to the use of the ears and eyes of the managers, pretty much what we all do when we watch Pools. But GPS - whale oil beef hooked.

Enjoy your visit to Plainmoor, Monkeybutt. One of my favourite away games as I usually manage to wangle a week or so in Torquay while I'm down there. Sod's Law that I'm going down to Penzance early on Sunday morning with tickets already booked so I'll have to miss out. Pity because I usually see us win, not forgetting the infamous game years ago when we finished up with only eight men; two of whom were dismissed for getting their handbags out on each other.

Great towering header for Jimmy's second, two defenders on him and he out jumped and out muscled them both.

Nice to see not just Noble sprinting to the ref to get that lad sent off but Mafuta and Kitching also.

Enjoyed seeing Kitching telling Killip not to throw the ball out when their centre back was down injured and the look of disgust on his face when he did throw it out

Noble looked excellent in those highlights.

He was very good all game. I thought he was excellent first half before the real fireworks started, but a couple of misplaced passes early in the second half would have got the usual suspects in the Millhouse on his back.

One bloke near me even shouted "Don't let him take it" when he won the penalty. I think his penalty record last season was scored 7, missed 2 wasn't it?

He did well getting that penalty - most refs wouldn't have given a penalty for that.

Presumably their penalty was for one of our defenders leaning on one of their players was it? That seemed tame as well to me

I reckon Cunningham pulled the lad back right in the view of the ref, probably one of those situations probably if he hadn’t gave the first one to us us he wouldn’t have awarded that.
