Why was Williams not even on the bench? We had too many defensive minded midfielders against Fylde, nobody putting pressure on theirs in their half of the pitch. I think we need enlightening on Williams fitness situation

The OS says that Williams has hyper extended his knee in training which is why he wasn't on the bench and is a doubt for tomorrow.

It's almost like Nicky Featherstone has changed his name to Liam Noble. Guess it's just the current flavour of the week the blame Noble for everything now.

He hasn't been at his best in the two home games I've seen this season it is fair to say but i'm failing to see how anything he has done is to blame for any of our short comings either. We only played half an hour without him on Tuesday night and we lost that 30 minutes 2 - 0. Only thing i would say is it would of been nice to seen him subbed off for Holohan but in the context of the game and game management you can see why he brought Kennedy on at that stage.

So we getting out played in the middle and need fresh legs, so we bring on Kennedy who still looks rusty and plays too high, rather than the quicker two of Bale and Holohan sctatchinghead
Sound game management that!

Kennedy seems to be the odd one here, probably from the reports the most impressive performer of pre-season (apart from Molyneux) yet has struggled to get into the games he's featured in.

I wouldn’t say we were getting outplayed in the midfield (at all) it was our game plan to sit in, keep our shape and hurt them on the counter (which we looked like doing every time we attacked) Noble who appears to be the latest scapegoat didn’t get on the ball and influence things but he put a real shift in pressing the ball, Kennedy was probably like for like in Hignetts mind when things were going to plan at 2-0 but I can see the merit in bringing one or the other center midfielders on. Either way the substitution didn’t cost us as much as the inept officials.

I think opposition teams scouts have targeted Noble as an easy way through, pressing the opposition only works if you can get to the player and I don`t see he can as he struggles for pace, trying to grab at their shirts says it all really.

The refereeing at this level is shocking and, although I thought this was impossible, I think it's getting worse.
The answer is with the clubs, they have to bang their gums at the hierarchy in this league or take really drastic action like taking the players off. I know that is an extreme reaction but something has got to change and if the league aren't prepared to do it, then the clubs will have to do it for them.
It's either that or we put up with it and shut up.
Stark reality,,,,stark choice.
I've said this before but the biggest individual thing that will stop me attending football at this level is the incompetence of the match officials.

In the lead up to our second goal, their no 3 took a kick at Cunningham long after the ball was yards away, & yet the ref only had a word with him once the goal was scored. No yellow card.

A 6'2" keeper should not be beaten by a looping header (off the shoulder according to Higgy) from 15 yards out. No reason to come for the cross, so stay on the line ! Ditto v Sutton for their first goal

Why oh why don't we have a man attacking the back post? He would probably have got to those glancing headers from Toure & Muir which flashed narrowly wide
