I think Steve Bruce is a decent bloke and manager to be fair, I would be seriously underwhelmed as a Newcastle fan but I’m sure they are used to that sort of thing. He’s not as bad as Steve McLaren, Joe Kinnear, Glenn Roeder or even Alan Pardew who was manager for ages who Ashley has previously took the cheap option on.

As much as I despise Alan Pardew, didn't he nearly take Newcastle to a champions league place during his time there?

Ashley is milking the club dry and the takeover looks like it was a smokescreen to give the fans hope when Rafa and Perez left. He's done similar things to avoid spending in past transfer windows and they keep falling for it.

Normally I'd not have much sympathy but there's something about cockney chancers fleecing football clubs that gets my goat but I'm not sure why!
