Me and our lass and the bairns are going to Spain and we need travel insurance. We're going under our own steam, its not a package holiday.

Any recommendations?

Try the compare websites which give a star ratings for policies as i remember.
It often better to buy a years cover than just for a few weeks as you might go again within a year.
Make sure though you have a EHIC (European health insurance card) which gives medical cover www.ehic.org.uk
I am no expert but thats what i did so if it all goes tits up dont blame me.
It may change if we leave the EEC in which case come to Seaton and hire one of the nice new beach huts next to the now demolished Longscar Hall.

Check out Nationwide FlexPlus account for £13 p.m. - provides annual worldwide travel insurance for the family, UK & European car breakdown cover, family mobile phone insurance, & pays 2.96% interest on account balance up to £2500.
If you are interested in transferring a current account to them, I can get you a referral which pays you £100 on completion (plus £100 for my wife)
