Really looking forward to tomorrow's game; Hignett's first real test at home blah blah blah.
Bit worried that international call ups have decimated our defence but it's obviously really important that Amos gets the chance to play in a couple of friendlies in Marbella - are they actual friendlies or kickabouts on the beach?

Pools 2 - Wrexham 1 Hawkes (2 pens)

Watched wrexham a few times on Bt totally boring team allways have 10 men behind the ball, dominate midfield and hit you on the break.

Agree with their style of play...however if we score first (its about time we did!) I think we could win this, 2-1 Pools.

Really poorly taken penalty, keeper should held it easily but it squirmed under him and crossed the line by a few inches.

16 points from 10 games since Higgy got the job which works out at around 74 points over a season with that points per game ratio, it makes you wonder if he’d been manager all season could we have had a sniff of the play offs?

It certainly gives us hope for next season though.

We were so good today. Every player impressed me. Noble made great crosses, Loach did a spectacular save in the second half, featherstone was good on the ball. Kioso great in defence. James was good going up the pitch. Really faultless.

The atmosphere was amazing. The chants were hilarious, I burst out laughing when people started chanting "sit down you scruffy c****".

Great atmosphere from the top corner of the Millhouse too.

After listening to other drums at various grounds I always hated them, however the bloke actually could play a tune and the atmosphere was brilliant today, a great game and result.

Disagree with Noble,he hit a couple of decent crosses in but his general passing was poor, liked the look of the new lad.

Routine win against a top 3 side. Two home wins on the belt, this is nosebleed territory.

Fraser Kerr was my MOM today, ridiculous that someone on here was trying to write him off after a few games.

Nicky Featherstone wasn't far behind Kerr- he can be very good on his day, frustrating that he doesn't do it all the time.

All round good performance and just a shame that Cunningham went off injure again - he looks a very good prospect if only he could stay fit,

Bates had a great record in the season he took over from Harrison.

To be fair Iggnet has got a lot more about him though.

One thing I did notice. We seemed to get the bounce of the ball today, first with the penalty then later on with a few ricochets which dropped for us.
Totally agree re MOM. Fraser Kerr for me. Looked solid & actually tried to use the ball constructively on one or two occasions.

We did that - also benefitted from having a ref and 2 linos who actually knew what they were doing.

I really enjoyed today's game and obviously the result.
We are definitely moving in the right direction.
I was impressed with my first glimpse of Bale.
Two clean sheets on the bounce, can't be bad.

At one point in the game, the pools fans in the Mill House started banging the rails and someone near me and the following conversation took place...
Bloke A .. That sounds just like the Zulus banging their spears before attacking Rourkes Drif.
Bloke B... They were Welsh at Rourkes Drift as well, ffs I hope they don’t start their bloody singing.

Great return from.Higgy from.a squad that everyone agreed wasnt good enough to compete.

What a fucking super manager he is, cant wait to see what he does with us over pre season and hopefully with a fit Williams. He is also slowly getting rid of the negativity that was stifling this club and holding it back.

Cant wait till the next game.

Well done Raj, Craig and the media departments etc.
