Just to let you know there will be segregation for this match. However you are welcomed to use the bar.
For those who like a decent pint we do have four real ales plus three lagers, also Guinness and Ciders.
How many are travelling down?

Not a dig at Amber SUFC but this question is a staple of that awful National League Facebook page asking ‘how many are coming’ Unless it’s all ticket and you sold them all or you contact everybody personally how could you possibly answer that question with any degree of accuracy?

I’ll get back to you on Friday when I have phoned our entire fanbase*

*I’m not coming I won’t able to afford a flight after all of those phone calls.

Think Amber just wants a rough idea.

The real ale lovers will be split because there is also lager available so that will reduce numbers even though four real ales would normally have them firing up the Skoda.

Chips are an unknown variable and they matter so much to so many people that Sutton are basically turning down revenue by not confirming that they're available.

Then you've got the possibility that with segregation in place they're doing home chips but no away chips. If that's the case there'll be chew which puts some people off.

Finally you've got the travel up crew who just won't stay in Hartlepool to ensure that they travel in the right direction to matches.

All things considered my guess is 241 Poolies but as many as half will be exiles travelling up or sideways to get to the match so Amber might want to ignore them. Whatever direction they've approached the ground from they'll be thirsty and will want plenty of chips so get the catering in order or it could all kick off.

Guesses are no use to Amber and PJ's phone around might take the whole week, which is no help when ordering in stock and laying on extra staff.

I think it's safe to assume that more than 100 and less than 400 Poolies will attend the game. Most - let's say 75% - will be up for a drink but a decent proportion of them - lets say 50% - will arrive early enough to visit a local pub before heading down to the ground.

Which would give you anywhere between 37 and 150 potential customers. But don't quote me on that.

I'm sure chips are served in our bars. I will confirm later.

Never hear from bishop these days, not a day goes by without me wondering what his dad had with his chicken for lunch.
