Eric Cantona certainly didn't make that line up and, much as I like his fillums, neither did Ken Loach.

Nice anecdote about his missus suggesting he could always support Darlo or York if Pools went out of business!

If the unthinkable happened that would be me done with lower league football - seen enough to last a lifetime following Pools. I'd go back to my first love, Wolverhampton Wanderers, watched aged 7 winning the 1960 FA Cup Final on TV. The fact that the current Wolves side is the best they've had in about 50 years would be purely coincidental...

They need to ditch this season's crappy bright yellow shirts and get back to the old gold though.

I've taken one of my nephews to about 10 Pools games, and he never saw us win once. The best result was a 0-0 at Walsall.

I thought we'd broken the duck at Barnet a couple of years ago, but we managed to turn 2-0 and coasting into a 3-2 defeat.

He gave up and decided to start supporting Forest like his mates at school. At least they are his local team, I'd hate it if he became a plastic Scouse or Manc.

I've taken him to a few games at the City Ground for birthday and Christmas presents, and I just can't get behind them. It's Pools or nowt for me.
