Sing?

You agree with a load of shouty attention seeking, baseless nonsense. It’s why football message boards get a bad name he’s literally making things up and it’s why I’m logging out for this evening

I honestly dont think Money will be around in a few months.

How long is left on the lease of the place on the Marina that Pools got for him?

Singh is a businesssman not a football man, its clear its all about the money with him, not so much making it ( as you are hardly like to do that at Darlo and Pools ) but not losing it. 2400 v Fylde +Bates sacked, 2600 v Braintree and groundhog day if we lost, and supporters voting with their feet +Money sacked in everything but name.

This Chairman is trigger happy and I doubt this will end well.

Richard Money comes over as a very honest bloke who probably knows now that he's not up for the day to day pressure of management anymore. After Solihull this will have confirmed it. What he set out to do clearly wasn't working and wasn't going to work. He doesn't deserve the Paul Murray treatment (6 weeks and the boot) so who cares if the 'reshuffle' is a fig leaf to cover everyone's embarrassment?

Hignett, Maguire and Singh took the decision to appoint him so they are all culpable. Smokin' Joe called it right a few weeks ago when he said Hignett should take over as manager till the end of the season when time was called on Money. There's clearly no more dosh to appoint another manager right away. Unlike Mr. SJ I don't dislike Craig Hignett and think he's a good coach and a decent judge of a player. All in all, this is good news. Pools will at least stay up and who knows, give some grounds for optimism for season 2019/20.

Almost totally agree, although if Higgy does OK for the rest of the season I would like to see him continue. He has good contacts and clearly enjoys coaching. He may have little experience, but there is only one way to gain it ...

No I'm not , Hignett wont turn us around, certainly not in the long term, but if he does, not only will I be surprised, but I will be the first to acknowledge it, and admit I was wrong. There may be a bounce initially, but that will only prove what I have been saying all along , Hignett is the problem. One thing I do agree with Hignett on, is most of our fans are as thick as shit.

This move has clearly devalued Moneys role in the club.

It must be some job if a manager of Money’s experience after a few weeks thinks fuck this. Then again, he did the same at Solihull now they’re joint top!

Colin Todd, Steve Staunton, Simon Davey, Ryan Kidd, Mark Cooper and Craig Liddle (caretaker) was Singhs track record at Darlo in 2 and a half seasons.
If you count Hignetts first spell as a caretaker in the mix then you have had 4 in half a season.
I notice the first veiled threat coming out in his statement too. The same ploy he used at Darlo.

Anyway Mr Horden, if you don't have a reserve team then who did we play last night? sctatchinghead bbolt

Youth team with a few fringe players. Putting our reserves out wouldn't have been fair on you.

Bizarre and embarrassing. It might turn out ok but it still makes the club look totally clueless and inept. Also the "must" in bold is not too subtle a message.

The post on the OS confirms what fans have long suspected, "as well as introducing structures and disciplines which have been absent from the Club for far too long", i.e. the club is a complete shambles on and off the pitch. At least some action is being taken to address this, although it could be argued that Hignett is, and has been, very much part of this shitfest - but will it be all too late? I hope the senior players, who have coasted through this eternal car crash for the last few seasons, will soon be on their bikes as well.

Don’t know why, but I always seem to back managers more than most. Maybe it’s because our turnover has been not to dissimilar to a call centre of recent years. Onto our 4th manager this season already. It could turn out to be a move for the best but I’m unconvinced. Hignett has always got away with his record due to players being sold “behind his back” when in reality it’s shocking, although we played some pretty football. This today makes us look amateurish though.

Anybody know where Jeff Sterling fits into all this regarding decision making? As he put money in when Singh took over and is club president you would have thought he would have a big say but he seems to keep quiet in the background or does his Sky Sports job stop him taking a more obvious active role?

Now Hignett is back in charge, you may find Nobles recovery is quicker than first thought , and that Magnays knee injury will suddenly disappear, we may even see Bates back, who the hell can tell what is around the corner at HUFC? As my mate succinctly put it tonight, a club run by idiots for idiots.

So Hignett can't win even if Pools do? That's got all bases covered then. :-)

For the record, when Hignett took over from Ronnie Moore in February 2016 Pools were in a relegation place (22nd). We finished in 16th, despite a run of poor results right at the end of the season that is the biggest blot on his copy book.

When Hignett got sacked in January 2017 Pools were 19th. Under Dave Jones Pools finished the season 23rd and relegated.

Nobody is pretending Hignett is a world beater. Early season results were in and out despite some some good signings and we were 'only' 13th in early October, when the behind the scenes crap really started to hit the fan.

As a fan, you can only hope Hignett has learned a few lessons and is a better manager now than he was then. he's always been a good coach.

I've never been interested in rumours about dressing room politics, like all the crap about Sam Collins and the 'Yorkshire mafia' not that long ago. Funny that he was some people's best candidate to take over as manager back in the summer! Getting some positive results on the pitch will do me.

Was at Morecambe when we won 5-2 and the glorious chairman was providing free transport to the match. We looked good. Hignett was in charge then.
What did for Hignett was the so called owner. Simple as that.
This mono brow thought process that he is the Devil incarnate and anti Christ combined is utter bollocks. Was he to blame for the shite we endured when he wasn’t even here as well?

Not disputing he did okay in his first season, under his tenure the club enjoyed some good results, big wins at Barnet, Grimsby, Morecambe etc, but there were big defeats also, and in his last season towards the end of his reign he was as inept as Colin Cooper, Harrison, Bates and lets now add Money. One of the good things I will say about Hignett is that he brought some half decent if inconsistent players in, such as Thomas, Allesandra, Amond, Laurent etc, for me though there was still too much emphasis on tippy tappy, passing for passings sake football, that more often than not got us nowhere. He has some talent, enthusiam , passion but would probably more cut out for a coaching role under an experienced manager or a DOF , rather than as a manager. Hignett wears his heart on his sleeve and that will make for some topsy turvy results, as I mentioned earlier, but IMO he is flawed , when he makes mistakes they are whoppers, as he did v Dagenham with his subsitutions, and in his first season when he played a weakened team v Accrington and more or less sent a message out after that the season was over now survival was secured with 3 games to go, all of which we lost.

I hope he can turn things around, he may do initially as the players have got one of their mates in charge, but in the long term I don't think he will. We will just have to wait and see. My stance as regards Hignett is well known, so this is the last I will say on the matter.

You can't just ignore dressing room politics. If what I made up about Noble making Money strip to his underpants and then give him a 'horsey ride' round the room while Neko Muir 'liked' it on his now deleted Twitter feed is true that must have damaged Richard's authority. Add in the unfounded notion that Hignett buys everybody fish and chips all the time (but doesn't allow sausages or too much vinegar on nutritional grounds) and you can see why the idea of 'hot-desking' the managers job makes perfect sense.

Horden you suggest Hignett started well and tgen tailed off, which results wise is true.

However, it's a bit harsh to not mention the implosion behind the scenes, his no.2 leaving, several of our better players being sold from under his nose and not replaced. The rumours of late wages etc etc.

If Higgy had some stability and was allowed to keep what he had put together, we would have been nowhere near relegation.

He called people moronic and idiots for suggesting Money was close to the sack a few days ago. Looks like the morons and idiots have more idea about things than PJ but I see he is now claiming Money has got promoted. I got not confidence in Hignett either him and Maguire were at fault for appointing Money if the first place. Think Singh will be asking for his loans back by this time next season or dumping the club into Admin like he did with The Loids. Things are a shambles again.

Exactly, they werent even rumours about late wages etc, and it was Higgy who had to relay to the players that they wouldnt be paid and pass on the bullshit reasons from Coxall. Oh and the winding up orders etc

Then there was random players turning up to training like Rodney who Hignett knew nothing about.

Fcukin hypocrite of the highest order. I suggested that Hignett should replace Money almost three weeks ago but was swatted aside by PJ the Almighty and his equally arrogant disciples. I also asserted that Money was nothing more than a Dave Jones clone dinosaur and was crucified for that too - although I do concede that he is nowhere near as arrogant as the twat that directly put us where we are today and did talk a modicum of common sense. I also said that McLaughin brought sweet FA to the Pools table and now surprise, surprise he is thankfully on his way too.

Apart from shoving two fingers right up PJ’s nose I take no perverse pleasure from being proven correct as several more points have been gifted to opponents since then due to Money’s tinkering and poor team selections/decisions. I also concede that I have been one of Hignett’s biggest critics but am prepared to give the guy 100% support for the remainder of the campaign as he strives to stop the rot by turning this motley crew into something resembling a professional football outfit.

Fair comment ! I never mentioned it, because I assumed everyone would of knew that and taken it into account. The behind the scenes shenaningans makes it difficult to completely write off Hignett completely, that is why he has soldiered on relatively unscathed , without too many people asking questions of him. He may with stability turn it around, not sure if the club has that like, I wish him well and hope he does, as I have said elsewhere, we will finally see if Hignett has what it takes.

Could this change not just be that Richard Money is not afraid to do the difficult things such as telling certain players how it is, dealing with releasing players, and organizing loans, therefore hasn't that close attachment with the players Higgy has (in other words the dirty work), whereas C.H prefers the hands-on dealings with the current squad, want's to keep a 'happy' camp, positivity up, good relations and an arm round the shoulder/motivating of those who require it?

Its no wonder Hairnett goes on about you lot(PJ) knowing nowt, lol

When he played himself you would not see a more hard working honest player.

He got shit on by people ruining this club WE ALL LOVE.

He did not have to do anything to help when it looked as though we were doomed, But he did.

Everybody needs to get to the vic on saturday and once again prove that we are one of
The best group of SUPPORTERS in the land.

Thats the only way you show you care, Not by ranting on here.

Mr Horden my friend i still believe we have a very capable squad,
And hopefully time will prove so.

Money has tried his best to destroy any camaraderie that existed in the squad.

Well said Mr Greyhound.

Raj Singh just wants to bring good times back to us. Whether you agree with all of his decisions or none of them or anywhere in between, he deserves our support.

THIS WONT END WELL, THERE MAYBE A HIGNETT BOUNCE THIS SEASON, BUT BELIEVE ME THIS BLOKE WILL TURN OUT TO BE NO BETTER THAN BATES . FFS WE GOT A GLIMPSE OF THIS LAST TIME HE WAS MANAGER. IF HE IS THAT GOOD, WHY WASNT THERE A STRING OF CLUBS QUEUING UP TO OFFER HIM A JOB BEFORE HE WORMED HIS WAY BACK INTO POOLS?. [/quote]

I think I prefer you in caps. More authentic, somehow.
