I see Spennymoor have been drawn at home to Telford in the FA Trophy, interesting to see how they will do?

I was ill so did not go to our game Saturday, my mate went to Spenny (for the 1st time as he has just moved there). Said they played well & dominated Sutton especially in the Second half, Sutton just could not keep up despite the young kid they had in goal pulling off some very good saves.

The contrast in the two clubs fortunes is quite remarkable, 2005/2006 we were in L1, Moors were in the Northern League.
i often go the Spennymoor when Pools are'nt on, their players play for the club & have a bit of guts and pride. Ours don't, many are saying we seem to lack the energy or the fitness of part time clubs, Spennymoor's players certainly seem fitter when I have seen them as did those of Telfords?

The only comfort is we have a club to support when we might not of, the worry for me is how long will Raj Singh stay onboard (hopefully he will & speculate further to accumulate in the long run), our paracute payments end this season. I would imagine our budget next year will be well below that of this year, Raj is a businessman he is not running a charity after all .

It’s amazing that people are prepared to fly off the handle at things that haven’t been said and take things that have out of context that have, then completely ignore other points.

It’s been stated on several occasions that this seasons playing budget is significant lower than it will be in future seasons due to costs associated with the previous cowboys who nearly put an end to our club. In reality this season was always likely to be tough watch as we didn’t have the scope to reshape the squad in a few months due to budget restrictions and previous contracts. The mess was always going to take a bit of time to sift through. A real attempt is being made to be open and honest but some aren’t willing to listen properly.

How on earth do you come to the conclusion that the original poster was "prepared to fly off the handle"? It seemed a perfectly reasonable post to me. You generally talk sense MR PJ, but your frequent attempts to portray just about every supporter but you as "hysterical" do get a bit tiresome.

I wasn’t suggesting that this post was flying off the handle at stuff that hasn’t been said to be fair, that was the outrage last week at fans being ‘slagged off’ this fits into the third catergory I mention ‘completely ignore other points’. Which it does, next years budget has been discussed on the podcast and mentioned on here. But it all fits together.

It also unfair to suggest I am portray just about every supporter apart from me as ‘hysterical’ that is clearly nonsense. The majority of our fans have common sense I’d say but a noisy percentage who use social media and forums sadly don’t and have posted enough nonsense to write a decent and sized book on in recent weeks and months. So I will say it about people being hysterical they represent a small percentage of our fan base though.

A good run in the Durham Challenge Cup must be worth a couple of grand.
