He’s probably having a good look at the squad I can see is thinking in Magnay as we don’t have a ball winner in midfield. He needs time though, I wouldn’t be passing comment on his style of ball this early into the job. Some of the comments in the last week have been embarrassing (not referring to yourself there)

It’s been less than three months I watched the Barnet game on the telly. It was beyond shit.

I know what you are saying but its so frustrating to go through this again as in testing players and a manager getting to drips with the squad as whilst Bates probably had to go its set us back another season. I like Higgy and don't want to have a go at him but surely the director of football role is to have a plan and system. You cant let him bring Hawkins back to bin him off him after 50 mins. Cassidy I don't mind so much (we shouldn't of got rid) but if we already (with Hignett involved) decided he not good enough why is he now? They even talk about that in new podcast about a Swansea or Southampton system where the manager doesn't matter just keep the system change the manager. We clearly haven't got close to that as Raj has changed his mind and wants bigger players as seen in the interview with him when Money was appointed.

Magnay doesn't sound a bad idea and it kind of works as in he breaks up the play, but his passing is terrible and every pass is 3 yards behind where it needs to be and he rolled several into touch. He looks every bit a defender in mf

It's heartbreaking that they've felt the need to do this. After what the club has survived the club and fans should be united. Everything said in the podcast is bang on.
As for picking up on him saying he was in China, the point he was clearly trying to make is he's here because he wants to be and can see potential in the club. Not that he's bigger than the club like Dave Jones clearly thought.

In the position we are in, I've got no doubt Richard Money is the right choice for us. Everything about him, his experience, his philosophy and most of all his willingness not to hide or just take abuse(which unfortunately seems to be crucial at Pools).
Now we've got a chairman who we barely hear about, which after recent history is perfect, we've got a manager who most clubs at this level would love to have. Now we just need to sort the team out, that is clearly not going to happen instantly so give those at the club time to build.

The high spot of the pod cast for me was Mark McGuire addressing the important issue of the "Matchday Experience" (bars & catering) and his promise to improve the way its physically delivered and the ways of working.
Got a feeling this may be a long term issue to resolve but it was addressed.

Like the bit about Noble been injured and the physio talking to him............The King!!!

Agree about Money but not about the Chairman taking a back seat. We have a team with 4 players in it who have experienced promotion with teams in this league, surely then there is the nucleus of a team capable of at least challenging for the play offs.

I agree, perhaps we should stand up to the gobshites who shout this shite at matches and on the facebook page!

Hignett did it after about 3 days.

So why isn't Hignett manager then ? why doesn't he want the job? was it because the pressure was off they played well? they still got beat though v Dagenham.

The podcast was great by the way, love Money's honesty and no nonsense approach, best of luck to him, he will need it. He has my full support.

Another good listen. The most interesting thing was Maguire's revelation that one of our players had said "I don't want to play in front of these fans" even before Money arrived. Got to be someone with an academy background surely?

When they were talking about the kind of atmosphere Tranmere fans created at Prenton Park in their promotion season I think they all needed reminding that Pools fans are dying to get behind the side 100%, but they need a little run of victories to convince them. Two wins on the bounce would be a great start!

Booing Noble when he came over to clap the fans at the end of the Maidstone game was just shan though. He's scored or made the assist on 18 of Pools' 36 goals this season, so it's easy to work out where we'd be without him - bottom of the league.

Loved myth busters at the end of the podcast, especially the story of Nobla faking a head injury and their reaction to the Shinpadgate theory!

Like walking on egg shells, the bit about Davies leaving like. Loved the bit when Hignett jokingly said to Money " You wont be here next xmas" and Money replied " I might not be here next week if this keeps on or something to that effect " would be funny if it not for our recent history of managers not hanging around for long.

They made light of it, but don't think Money was impressed. If you thinks its okay for a player to take to the field without shinpads on , then says a lot about you and the club you support. If they really want to take the piss out of me, they could always invite me on. Personally listening to Money, you could of been listening to me. Only saying what I have been saying for many a year.

Or put another way , someone who doesn't follow like sheep, who passionately believes in what they are saying, their own thoughts not those copied from others or read in newspapers, thus always likely to be a target of the mob who want to shoot them down at every opportunity, especially when they make the odd mistake, which proves that the person in question is human after all. The prophet that is never recognised in their own land, despite being proved correct time and time again.

I don't want to sound arrogant , but its no wonder HUFC have never won nowt with the supporters we have.

Love is but a song to sing
Fear's the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Some may come and some may go
We shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moment's sunlight
Fading in the grass

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

If you hear the song I sing
You will understand (listen!)
You hold the key to love and fear
All in your trembling hand
Just one key unlocks them both
It's there at your command

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now

Right now
Right now

You just like the lines in the chorus about everybody loving each other. As for 'Come on people now' that is bang out of order and almost certainly a football related offence of the worst kind.

Nah, Pools should trade on its reputation as an angry club and have the players run out to Firestarter.

Funnily enough met Mark Maguire in the ticket office this morning. I passed on all your positive comments about the podcast. I was getting my ticket for tomorrow and he said to the lass behind the counter " offer the bloke a chocolate then " ( there was a big tin of Quality Street behind the counter) seems like a decent bloke, which will make it all the more difficult watching him age 10 years in the next 3 , as he valiantly attempts to keep pools afloat .

Enjoyed the latest podcast. It is very worrying to hear that comment about being reluctant to play in front of the fans.
Abuse of the players at matches has to stop. It is non productive and thank goodness I don't get involved in such abuse.
I would even favour throwing those who do hurl abuse, out of the ground.
Opposition players and the officials are fair game as long as it isn't racist etc but please leave our own players alone.
The people who do it know who they are and it has to stop.
I agree with Money's policy of asking each player whether he wants to play for the club. Looks like he is going to do a bit of weeding out.
Although he calls us aggressive and angry, he does understand what we have been through and that we have been asked over and over again to be patient etc etc and it does wear a bit thin.
I think this is our last chance and if we respond positively at least the blame can't be planted at our door
He has to be given a chance.

Given what Money said about the players sending Rodgers up front, it sounds like he was the one getting abuse, don't you think?

The people who do it know who they are and it has to stop.
I agree with Money's policy of asking each player whether he wants to play for the club. Looks like he is going to do a bit of weeding out.
Although he calls us aggressive and angry, he does understand what we have been through and that we have been asked over and over again to be patient etc etc and it does wear a bit thin.
I think this is our last chance and if we respond positively at least the blame can't be planted at our door
He has to be given a chance.

Given what Money said about the players sending Rodgers up front, it sounds like he was the one getting abuse, don't you think?

No I don't.

You should have said I prefer a Celebration but as they are in short supply of late, gan on then!

Enjoyed the latest podcast. It is very worrying to hear that comment about being reluctant to play in front of the fans.
Abuse of the players at matches has to stop. It is non productive and thank goodness I don't get involved in such abuse.

Maybe I did, and you did answer the question to be fair, just sounded a bit curt that's all. Apologies if I was wrong.
