Go for it, 4-4-2 get a win or get absolutely munched 5-0 cos we miss Featherstone shoring up our dodgy defence.

Loach

Kioso Magnay Richardson Anderson

Donaldson Noble Mclaughlin Hawkes

O'Neill Muir

Do you actually mean playing Richardson at CB or is it a typo?

Not a typo , but certainly a gamble. A gamble is required at this moment in time me thinks. I think he could do a job there, we will probably never know though , no doubt Bates will probably have him on the bench, he's had a good run, time he was dropped.

Another permutation was Butler for Richardson and Richardson for Anderson, again a gamble playing the young loanee and Richardson on the left, but cant be any worse than what Bates would pick. I would rather Teresa May pick the team than Bates.

He will never be a centre half he played there on Saturday I have never seen any attributes from him that make me think he would be a good centre half. Why did he move him from full back he had a good run there?

Did he? oh fook!. Give him another go I reckon. I like Richardson, steady away at right back, but in that position sometimes you don't see a lot of the ball when attacking, well at Pools you don't , and sometimes I think he loses concentration at times due to this. Put him in the middle and with more to do, think he could become a better player.

Pretty much our only left back. I'd pick you over Anderson.

I would pick either of you ahead of McLaughlin - the poor man’s Michael Woods.

He had a good first half against Gillingham.

I think we have yet to see best of McLaughlin, he needs a run of games. Unfortunately for him since he started playing regularly our form has nosedived, though not fault of his IMO.

Did you see Woods goal for Harrogate? a beauty

Yes it was indeed a cracking goal - Woods has scored several similar goals for us in the past and doubtless would be doing so at present had Master Bates not decided to introduce yer man Paddy who from what I have seen brings precious little to the table. But hey, at least he regularly turns up fit for training and team selection unlike some of Hignett/Bates more ‘inspired’ signings so let’s give the lad some credit for that eh?
