I'm a little confused about these new shirts we are selling in previous years all of the money from the poppy shirt auctions have gone to Royal British Legion.

In 2016 the official website said

"There’s still time to bid on our match-worn poppy shirts, with all proceeds being donated to the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal."

In 2017 it said;

"And once again we’re offering the matchday squad’s shirts up for auction on eBay, with all proceeds being donated to the British Legion’s Poppy Appeal."

This year for the shirts they are producing for sale and auction the official website says;

"The match-worn shirts will be made available for sale by auction in the coming days as they have been in previous seasons and a donation will be made to forces charities from both the auction and proceeds from any replica shirts which are purchased."

I am a bit wary of the term "forces charities" as the fundraising surrounding the poppy appeal should go to the RBL in my opinion. There has been a well publicized scandal surrounding Help for Heroes for example.

Secondly a "donation will be made" I know Pools are producing these shirts (for the first time I think) and therefore have some risk attached, admittedly low due to the pre ordering system but surely all profits should be donated to the RBL as that would be in line with "previous seasons".

Some clarification for the club would be good

Perhaps email the club your list of questions, only they'll have the answers.

The match worn shirts will be auctioned, they have a small supply of replicas(never worn, new) because fans asked about it, nice to see they are listening!

What are the sizes like on these? Usually get a large but I’ve heard that they are very small fitting.
