They will be the standard tenner and a fiver, cheap enough but still won't get 3000 in. To fill our ground I imagine you would have to make them a £2 and £1.

The mention of Newport really winds me up!
My mate is a Newport fan and it was touch and go which club lost their EFL status. We went down and Newport now sit in a league 2 playoff spot. It should have been us!!!

I'm clearly easily pissed off because I have just noticed vegan/vegitarian Forest Green Rovers are riding high in L 2 having only lost two matches out of 17. Something has gone wrong with the traditional game of football that I started watching in 1954.

Not happy with ticket prices for the replay........ £15 for adults and £10 for old farts.
With a shite draw in the next round i cant see a good attendance.
I think i might spend my £10 elsewhere.

Bought ticket today, thought it would be a tenner. Cant see any more than 2500 , especially if game on Sunday is Groundhog Day.

Listened to Bates on radio Tees last night, apparently we were forced to play 4-4-2 due to circumstances and played very well, however we have reverted to this on occasions this season sctatchinghead , did I miss this?
Also we have a couple of players who could play in league 1 :liar:

Perhaps we have a division 1 squad who just cant adapt to playing shite teams in the Bananarama league.
Its called being dragged into the gutter. sadx

seriously you actually might have a point there like a lot of teams who get promoted do really well the next season. was the pre season recruitment really right when you see the majority of sides who resemble a rugby team.

Fuck me, if Bates or the players read this they'll wish they'd got stuffed at Gillingham. We got a draw away at a club two divisions above us - how can a thread about that descend into a moanathon? I appreciate it will be a long trip for the replay if we win but being in the competition is better than not being in it.

And when did drawing away with a changed formation become a bad thing unless you already changed it earlier in the season?

I'm not saying everything is perfect but one dstanley is enough. If we all focus on the downside all the time we'll end up reading Mr Butt's 'jokes' to cheer ourselves up and no good can come of that.

to be fair i think the price is fair when you are playing a team two divisions higher no matter who they are. if pools were playing a team in the same division or lower then thats when you expect a price reduction.

No problems with the price, you have to be careful not to get into the habit of giving your product away for cheap, it rarely works in any other business so why football?. Its only a fiver, you cant be much of a supporter if a fiver makes the difference between going and not, some seem to be just looking for an excuse.

As for the draw, I think we will do well to beat Gillingham, its okay going away and parking the bus, but boot will be on the other foot this time, will we be able to break Gillingham down?. If we get through the next tie we should win, but could also get beat , but more than likely another replay. I actually think we would of done well away at a league 2 side such as Bury, Mansfield or Carlisle, but it is what it is.

£15 obviously worked for gillingham, it was there lowest crowd for years. I can't see it being any better here.

Pools' current side is nowhere near being a League One side, but there is a bit of quality there.

Macclesfield won the NL last year by playing a brand of football that you could say epitomises this league - but they've got 7 points from 17 games so far in League Two and already looked nailed on to come back down. Tranmere went up behind them but with a better squad, and are currently in a play-off place with 30 points. Lincoln and Forest Green could both play football too, and are challenging for promotion.

Pools should stick to their guns and try to play football - with added goalscoring!

So we all agree then, Pools have to score goals.

I guess that's football...

A decent enuf chance to progress to round 3.
And some excellent prize money this season.
The incentive is there for a money spinning tie when the Premier shit clubs come in.
Hope that's not the kiss of death for the replay.
