What team in this league or L2 would not have these two in their team? Really pleased we have them here at little Artlepool United. Both good players both good leaders and both love playing football. Players like these are now very rare and sadly will be gone from this great game of football forever in the very near future. Football is now only about money and greed......in a world were average players are getting a kings ransom for foookall ........ and in a football world that is less n less to do with the supporters. Like I said these two are "real footballers" that play with heart / soul / passion for our club. Over the years many many older players have come to little Artlepool to get a few more years of cash cash cash from the game of football..... So please enjoy the last of this kind of genuine player / person to play at our club and please give them all your support this season and hopefully a few more. :-D

Has someone had a few beers tonight?? Nahhhh I'm only joking, I agree with every word you have said players like Tommy Miller a cracking player for pools in the late 90s Marlon Harewood, Nolberto Solano, Steve Howard, Stuart Parnaby was good but him been fit was like me trying to blag a shag with Jennifer Aniston it ain't going to happen plus he was meant to be on 2 grand a week I got told I don't think I seen him play 2 matches let alone 2 grand lol They have all come here just for a last pay packet they wernt bothered about the football side off things on the pitch they were just bothered when payday comes, Like you say we have players with passion now with Noble, Davies even Kioso, as young as he is he's a brilliant defender and not afraid off a challenge he can carry the ball forward he can pick a half decent pass, Hel certainly go onto bigger and better things i just hope we have him on a decent contract and if he does go whenever he does put a decent sell on a clause in the for him future, Where did we actually get him from? I obviously don't want players to leave far from it but you've got to look at the possibilities pools have always been a selling club and that isn't going to change anytime soon, At the moment we are just starting to build a decent squad and create a identity on how we play it's the Same with Niko Muir as well i think with a few decent creative midfielders behind him like Luke Williams (When his tonsillitis has cleared up) Niko will be a 25 goal plus striker which we've lacked for years and years, We need to keep hold off him to for a few year same with kioso develop them and Lets just hope when a transfer window comes along no league club offers them league football and doubles their wages and turns their heads, Like a Luke James and Jack Baldwin situation, Another one Scott Loach how the hell have we kept hold off him in the national league ill never know, The amoute off points he's saved us this season and last season, He's easily a league one keeper in my book, I'm suprised no one has came in for him yet, You don't get called up into the England squad by Fabio Capello if you ain't got something about you.

Well that's my view on things, I'm currently stuck at work at 2:36 in the morning completely bord eating a microwavable hot dog and I've got another 7 odd hours to go,The hotdogs ain't like the ones at pools like!! Shame on you rustlers.

I would say both are potentially league 1 quality , certainly league 2 and both would probably be in any National League team of the year. Obviously you worry about Davies getting injured and the way he plays the game, an injury can never be far off, Noble though is absolute quality at this level, and so far has avoided injury and kept his discipline in check , this has to continue.

Both outstanding on Saturday, just love the way noble moans in the refs ear throughout the game, annoying as fook for opposing fans.

He had a right go at the lino following the sending off challenge, the ref consulted the lino for about 5 seconds before showing the red

What we have been missing for years, just hope he doesn't overdo it, or it could be him getting hooked. For too many years we have watched our players stand still or return to their positions when a teammate is on the floor writhing around in agony. I'm sure without Noble or Davies to hide behind , many would still do that to be honest, too many nice guys at the club in recent seasons.

Thing is footballing ability wise alone - Noble is probably not even a top end league 2 player. However he is probably Premiership level in cuntiness/narkiness/winding teams up/helping get opposition players booked/slowing the game down though which is what we need.

Noble needs to score more goals that actually count.
As for questioning the level of his ability the fact Featherstone is having his best season for us coinciding with Noble joining the club can't be overlooked. Noble hasn't really been fancied by clubs at a higher level but he does seem to be the character who's brought our players together that has been missing for years, in my eyes that makes him invaluable.

Agreed, Featherstone has probably won the most tackles out of our midfield so far this season (never thought id say that) so presuming he has gained half a yard of pace or so from losing some of his timber. His timing of slide tackles has been exquisite.

Featherstone and Noble obviously both certs to start in the middle each game, still not convinced either Woods or McLaughlin are the perfect fit to be with them though.

Its that old saying , a happy worker is a productive worker. Featherstone has always been steady away, he just looked worse because he didn't have a Noble type player alongside him. Some players have that podgy build, Featherstone to be fair put on a bit of weight when he was out injured for a good length of time and probably because of his build/metabolism he found it took awhile to shift when he returned. All good now though.

The Away The Lads feature on the club website is a belter, but it does underline that Liam Noble is as mad as a box of frogs. His non-stop ADHD-like arsing around is probably wearing a bit thin already with some of the people on the team bus.

I do wonder how long he'll be at Pools based on his recent record at other clubs. Hopefully a long time, but if not I'll settle for him captaining Pools to a National League play off final win, like he did for Forest Green Rovers.

What does that actually mean?, have I missed a change in the rules of association football?

No, just a bunker legacy rule whereby penalties don't count. Dates back to Richie Barker's days I believe.

It's not actually funny but at the time someone stated it was a FACT and so it was written.

I'd imagine Williams will be the third midfielder and will hopefully be our creative spark in the middle of the pitch, just need him fit now!!
