Usual suspects, police turned up in riot vans, no doubt Maguire will sweep it all under the carpet again with help from his mate Walter Mitty Shithead, and it will all be someone elses fault again.

A friends quote-

Yes
Shocking scenes
Hartlepool fans attacking their fans
Really after blood
Throwing chairs and beer kegs in the bar underneath the stand
Was like the old days
Pam was petrified

His wife-

After the 3 rd goal the minority came out saw their fans and just went for them saw them chasing one poor man running for his life they were throwing all sorts and trying to get in a secure area , we were 2 feet away , my heart still racing and was an hour ago

Shameful

Was talk at the game tonight that a handful of them got a good kicking at Halifax so were up for some sort of payback though what that had to do with Salford is anybodys guess. Everyone knows who the people involved are, the same ones that were causing grief last season, and we all know who the Pied Piper is .
Was disgraceful what happened tonight and the people involved want banning for good but you can be sure Maguire will cover it all up and there will be people on Facebook saying it was just young lads having a laugh.

I don’t know the names of the characters involved but I could hazard a pretty good guess based on who was stood near me. As you say, a real pied piper - young eyes on his every move. Absolutely hammered as well. Embarrassing and if it was him, needs banning.

I was talking to a Salford fan before the game and he said the only match they’ve had a police presence was Darlington. Looks like our card will be marked as well now.
Real shame because they were a welcoming set of fans.

So is this Walter Mitty Shithead fella, who I don’t know, the one that is being held responsible for this junior hooligan element ?

What a load of bollocks gets spouted on here at times. Perhaps should be asking more questions as to why Salford fans sitting in the hospitality areas were allowed to sit and drink in their seats throughout the game. They kept going back past the steward into the bar and coming out with pints, bottles of lager and bottles of Koppaberg etc. So they were serving and allowing them to take it back to their seats. This is illegal. 15 minutes from the end of the game they had all disappeared...and it now seems as if we know where to!
The stewards clearly didn't have a clue seems as if they had been shipped in from elsewhere for the night.

This, the usual suspects shit stirring. It’s all very sad that this this bollocks has reared it’s head again. The club are partly to blame but just when you think things are looking up....

Hopefully reports of trouble are exaggerated and nobody got hurt if anyone crossed the line though they should be dealt with as it’s damages the clubs reputation. Our away support is amazing nearly 1,600 in the last few days it only takes a few to spoil things I suppose if they did.

So people drinking when/where they're not supposed to be means we should overlook absolute neanderthals physically assaulting people and causing criminal damage to property? Seems logical!

I'd suggest you take your issue up with Salford Football club as no one on the Bunker can fix it.

As for the idiots calling themselves Pools fans who are more interested in a scrap, I wasn't there but can our other fans not record video evidence to pass to the police?

Exactly this. A good friend of mine was there with his family and has reported back that a beer keg was chucked through a glass door and then at stewards. And we still have muppet trying to blame opposition stewards and the home club. Geoff, Im not sure what the point is that you're trying to make, are you saying that a few people from Salford's hospitality suite drinking in their seats trumps pools fans behaving in this way? If you are, buoy need to give your fat head a wobble. Isn't the alleged ring leader the new 'fan's liaison'. Fucking brilliant.

Your Good friend must have been pissed then as NO beer Keg was thrown into any glass door! What I will say though, it did look like someone had smashed the door but when you looked at it further it was someone throwing there pint glass at the window from inside Salford’s boxes. Now I know this is true as I was walking past as this all happened.

But again don’t let the facts get in the way of a good bunker thread!

So which is it? It either looked like it came from inside the box, or it happened as you were walking past? Can't be both.

Just reading that God awful Vanarama ‘Banter’ page it doesn’t appear that the trouble was entirely one sided (Salford kids mainly boasting end giving it large) so why people feel the need to start threads on events they didn’t witness is beyond me. Again it’s fueled by getting one over people and personal agenda it seems. Like I said if anyone has overstepped the mark or acted in a way that reflects badly on the club or put anyone in danger then I hope the book of thrown at them but only people who witnessed the events which I’m sure will be investigated can decide that really. It disappointing because I can’t remember last time we had genuine trouble at Pools game I have been to hundreds of Pools away games over the years and gave witnessed it on a handful of occasions, and I can’t remember anything kicking off for no reason. Darlo have had crowd trouble at Salford in recent years haven’t they? Loan Star might be able to help?

I’m looking to forward to hearing songs thirty years from now about a legendary fight at Salford. It’ll be sung mainly by 17 year olds and one really old bloke.

Nothing was thrown through any door only a pint glass from inside the boxes!!

Which gave the effect the glass was broken from the froth hitting the glass!

I was at the game last night . Group of young Pools fans after the third goal went in got up and left shouting general abuse as they went and were then seen trying to get at the Salford fans and causing damage in the process. Small group of older blokes followed them out. Chairs and a beer keg were definitely thrown and the door was clearly smashed by Pools fans.As I said last night strait after it happened the usual suspects involved and the usual ones will be strait on brushing it under carpet and putting the blame on someone else. Shame as vast majority of our fans were well behaved as usual and most of them probably didn't even see what happened. I would send a statement to the club but doubt anything will get done.

Known JP since 1981 and even back in those days wasn't a hooligan. One of the last people who would do anything like that. Its bang out of order and libellous to throw accusations about like that.

Nobody has accused Maguire or Walter Mitty Shithead of being a hooligan have they ? What was said strait after it happened was that they would sweep last night under the carpet or blame someone else. First thing this morning his mates were on here suggesting it was a very minor incident or that nothing happened.

This must be fake news then : https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk ... y-15201050

Plenty of photos on Social Media of the Pools fans involved last night taken by people from Salford that witnessed it,As expected nothing from the CEO or the Fans Rep on the Pools Website though.
Absolutely nothing libellous about saying that is there ?

Bloody hell, some lads who think they are hooligans shouted, swore and wobbled at each other and a door got smashed, it seems. They are daft fuckers who are maybe too pissed or coked up and are unexplainable/definable to the norm of society. Probably Pools fans like you and me but who think aggression/fighting is an acceptable pastime, unlike me.

Why it requires normal sensible fans to analyse it ad-infinitum when very few of us actually know what the eff' went on and weren't there I don't know.

It is not normal sensible or good behavoir. Expecting Pools to join in the social media waffle is a bit daft. Pools do right to condemn it if they are forced to comment but should just distance themselves from it really.

What is it with people on here slating other pools fans off especially when they weren’t there and don’t have a clue what happened at Salford. Fact there was a group of Salford fans in the executive boxes drinking shouting abuse at us fans including woman and kids.......... a few of us left early to miss the traffic........ as we walked past the executive boxes the group of Salford fans came out shouting swearing and throwing things at us and tried to have ago. Now it’s only human nature to defend yourself (I’m sure if you where there you would of defended yourself) the Salford lads ran back into the executive box and the stewards locked the door and wouldn’t let them back out so one of Salford lads through something which shattered the door....... the police where there in no time and no arrests where made cos all we done was defend ourselves........... end off..........

I wasn't here I have no clue what went on.
I don't mean to slag any Pools fan off or any one else who acts reasonably.

Well if it goes on other boards why don’t you come on and comment? You worried people might find out who you really are????

What is it with people on here slating other pools fans off especially when they weren’t there and don’t have a clue what happened at Salford. Fact there was a group of Salford fans in the executive boxes drinking shouting abuse at us fans including woman and kids........ a few of us left early to miss the traffic....... as we walked past the executive boxes the group of Salford fans came out shouting swearing and throwing things at us and tried to have ago. Now it’s only human nature to defend yourself (I’m sure if you where there you would of defended yourself) the Salford lads ran back into the executive box and the stewards locked the door and wouldn’t let them back out so one of Salford lads through something which shattered the door...... the police where there in no time and no arrests where made cos all we done was defend ourselves......... end off........

I was there. I was sat just 6 or 7 seats along from the said Salford fans in hospitality.
This report is accurate, but don't let that stop anyone from saying different.

Quite a depressing thread really. It's clear we've got one or two infrequent posters on here whose main interest is off-field matters and who aren't at all averse to stirring old resentments.

That aside, I suppose it's no surprise that if Pools are going to take a really big following - by NL standards - to places like Halifax and Salford that's going to provoke some local daft lads to want to show how 'hard' they are and we have some daft lads of our own who'll be ready to do the same.

Massively depressing and the source of that depression isn’t even the incident itself.

Anyway ignoring that I reckon Salford have definitely got themselves an element as like I think mentioned earlier Darlo have nearly always had ‘chew’ down there I think on one occasion they were billed about £15,000 for damage caused it was covered on that documentary. If you look at demographic and the area you’ve probably got a few raggy lads who have jumped on the bandwagon after being priced out of Old Trafford. Sadly with football in this country always comes that slight element but they usually keep themselves to themselves and rarely gets beyond posturing every club has them, alcohol and other substances usually make them a bit braver. As long as nobody got hurt who didn’t deserve to that’s the main thing I suppose! It’s nothing like when I stated going to football in the 80’s though all of the times I have witnessed genuine violence all come a decent amount of time back.

Been to one or two rugby games where you can drink in the stands and sit next to fans of opposing clubs. Never seen any bother. Why is it football 'fans' can't behave accordingly.

*Disclaimer* - this is not a comment based on what did or didn't happen at Salford - I'm just generalising.

Because a small minority are determined to spoil things for everyone else. And there are people willing to defend them or make excuses for them. A small minority on both sides determined to cause trouble and then offering making threats to sort it out face to face on here.
Our great support and reputation should not be damaged by a few idiots, especially when everyone knows who they are.

I’m not defending anyone but what planet are the old bill on when they think they don’t need any presence at a game with nearly 600 away fans?

sctatchinghead sctatchinghead sctatchinghead

I’m sure it’s This Forum that keeps brining up old resentments!

Ps for the record when I left there was no glass door smash but I’ll admit I was wrong when I’ve seen the photo but I don’t know how it happened as I wasn’t there so don’t want to make anything up!
