His red card yesterday is one of the strangest I've seen. I didn't see much in the collision on the edge of the box then after that he put his hand on the defenders head, in an action that I thought he was checking the lad was ok.

Maybe I've missed something?

It was an absurd decision, but coupled with his pathetic reaction very, very funny.

That’s 2 decisions the geezers behind the goal have given this week. Wonder if they’ve been told to get more involved

Maybe they have just been told to do some controversial potentially funny stuff just so people don’t forget they are there.

Ridiculous , his reputation obviously gone before him. He should have known better than to have even looked at the centre half never mind touched him.

You’d expect it to be revoked upon appeal.

He touched his hair. That’s it

Maybe it's UEFA trying to persuade people VAR is needed?

Only saw the clip on twitter briefly but I presumed the red was for the kick he aimed at the defender which led to him going down?

I think it’s what this clip is trying to suggest but even if it was that’s not even a booking the defender makes a big deal out of nothing, some great footage of his hilarious tantrum follows so stick with it

Not the best angle for the kick in my opinion.

Even if you dont make contact with a kick or punch its still a red card aint it by the rules?

agreed in that above camera angle but one wide angle showed a definite action of kicking imo.

Anyway I doubt the ref or his assistant saw it, but gave the red purely off the reaction of the player going down and then the other 2 or 3 screaming and running at the guy behind the goal.

His ability is only matched by his bellendry. I think it's partly driven by his, almost unhealthy, obsession with being the best. It's served him well but he's the biggest drama queen I've seen since Klinnsman.
