So what's the actual deal with him then?

Tonillitis? A week out at most?

Something doesn't seem right

Maybe they are just being careful as he had no pre season and he’s had injury problems?

Probably just being careful n not rushing him.

We are doing ok so they are probably not rushing him due to our positive results

It's quite obvious that he has contracted conjunctivitis

It feels longer because of the number of games that have been played but he only signed two and a half weeks ago.

He didn't have a proper pre-season, had been training with the club for, what, 3 weeks? And now has had a bit of a setback due to ill health.

No mystery really - not at this point at any rate.

No point in changing a winning team at the minute i say if he's fit put him on the bench and slowly introduce him to the team, He can only make us better.

The lad has his head screwed on he asked all of the right questions before he signed, who supply our Pies? Do the women’s toilets of have nice hand wash? have we reinstated chips? comfort? Have the Bunker reinstated chip? can I get a log in for hat cam? comfort? Are we getting brioche burger buns? Comfort? Can we expect more supporters groups to be set up as you can never have enough and finally..... comfort?

I can’t judge him until I see what he puts in his salad box

We can take a lot of comfort from that.

It's great that we all are in agreement and comfortable with him.

I heard he likes a hog roast bun with extra crackling in there. Much better use for a salad box than salad.

Bates said that he was going to be involved today but took a kick on the ankle in training yesterday

Wasn't it toothache today? Didn't see him there was Cassidy, Hawkins and Laing? Has he been signed to replace Luke George?

Saw Williams in Morrisons last night, he had a moonboot on, and was buying loads of stuff in the pharmacy isle, cold and flu tablets etc. Reckon we may get 5 games out of him before end of season. I said hello to him, he looked at me and sneezed and I said BLESS YOU LUKE.

Blimey, I'd already almost forgotten about Luke George!

If Ryan Donaldson's injury keeps him out for any time at all my guess is Pools fans will get to see Williams in action sooner rather than later. The squad's not exactly over-blessed with players who can be game changers.

Matty Bates will probably be happy enough to set up quite defensively down at Halifax and Salford but will need options from the bench if Pools go a goal behind rather than nicking a goal themselves. Time to take a bow Mr Williams.

Williams still out.

I don't think we are being told the truth.
He's either caught a case of Matty's dead leg or acute Luke George'itus.
I fear the worst.

Took a kick in training last week. We're still unbeaten and not desperate for a centre mid so no point risking further injury.

18 points out of the last 24 and unbeaten in 8. No wins in 1 though.

We’re on a slump.

Pools are unbeaten away since 6th March. This can't go on. Sack the lot of them.

Im looking forward too the next 2 games i think we should have with the current team and tactics a good chance of a win at halifax how ever salford will be a bigger test for us in my opinion with alexander as manager he will be tactically aware of how to beat us so i just hope bates sets us up to be as tight as a camels arse in a sandstorm and make any changes required through out the game quicker than in previous games.
