I got thinking after looking on In The Mad Crowd website....
Steve Tupling, was he really as bad of a footballer as I can remember ..i was surprised to realise he had played over 100 games for us including the promotion season....so, why is it everytime that I think of him (not in a sexual way) all I seem to remember consists of him falling on the floor, getting skinned of opposing players and generally fans taking the piss out of him, im seriously curious, was he really that shiit :?:

Steve Tupling was a decent passer of a ball and a bloody hard worker, sadly he suffered from that section of the crowd at Pools who just have to have a verbal punchbag. Their dum offspring are still there today slagging off anyone and everyone.

Does anyone remember Paul Bielby,I think we got him from Man U.......he was a cracking player but the boo boys never seemed to give him a chance............Do Pools suffer from more than there share of boo boys or do we just have the average amount of wingebags?.......... :?

Paul was a smashing player with a bit of class. As for the boo boys thing, I believe their are several inbred families of talentless, intellectually mediocre, ignorant, grossly offensive, congenitally stupid gobshites, condemned by nature to pass on the gene for eternity.

I was probably too young and inexperienced, but I loved Tupps. To us, he was the long haired number 8! After all, I thought Paddy Atkinson was class!!! :uhoh: I'm about to do a Salty; too much wine.....

Steve Tupling was known to tackle on the odd occasion, unlike someone very close to your heart

strong as an ox and hard to get past, a good anchor man in midfield alongside Tinkler and they both did the "nasty" stuff. Let's face it, most pitches back then were like a ploughed potato field and it was essential to have a couple of no-nonsense types in the thick of it. Tinkler is still quite a fit lad and playing Northern League footy today.
