Great signing that one. Nice contract with an extra 4 months or whatever too.

Thanks Watson/FullNinety!

Feel sorry for the lad he doesn’t want to be injured but it’s corrrect to slate our wonderful ‘head of recruitment’ on this one when he was plagued with the same problems at his previous club.

Looking at the videos from earlier in the season and seeing him in the gym, with munns aswell, at the college he has worked really hard to get fit so i do have a degree of sympathy with him.

The major but in this is...

Why the hell did we sign such an injury prone player on a 52 farking week contract?

Our head of recruitment is many many things but at the very top of his shit list is that he is a terribly bad scout and identifier of players.

Can only hope it is only a 52 week contact and not a 104 week contract.

Chester fans were pissing themselves laughing when we signed him. Got nothing against the lad but I don't think he was what we needed when fit anyway.

100% dont blame luke, like i said i've seen first hand the graft he's been putting in to get fit, no footballer wants to be injured.

The frustrating thing is what he represents really more than anything, why did we give a 52 week contract to a player with a very obvious poor injury record?

As mr crab points out above, is he even what our midfield needed? Not at all, we are crying out for midfielders to put their foot on the ball and drive forward, for goals, for creativity.

So we signed newton a sitting midfielder and the injury prone george who do neither.

Craig Harrison bears responsibility too. He wanted to sign George.

Given that he's one of FullNinety's players, I wouldn't be too sure of that, no matter what was said at the time.

Harrison said so himself. Dunno - do you think Watson was blackmailing him?

I seem to remember Harrison saying he was aware of him because of his time at Chester. I'm guessing they must play friendlies/reserve games.

When someone's argument is based on possible reasons why someone didn't say what they might have said - there's really nothing to say except 'Believe what you want.'

I am right in thinking Paul Watsons's player agency represented Rodney, George , Newton? Maybe one or two others or is that incorrect? Obviously any manager was told by PW to sign that player, didn't Rodney join without Hignett knowing who was because PW was his agent and Foxhall was in bed with him, metaphorically anyway, what they did in their private lives is of no concern in this case... Please remove that image.

According to this
www.transfermarkt.com/fullninety-sports ... rater/3518

there are 3 Pools' players on FullNinety's books - Rodney, George and Rhys Oates. Rhys has been at Pools since May 2015, before Coxberg took over.

Wonderful thing the interweb, only takes a minute to check stuff.

Also if you click on 'detailed view' it suggests all 3 have contracts for this season only.....well, it says 2018 under the contract column

As you're aware we signed him as a no-nonsense, ball-winner....and I shit you not, his first game was as a sub at home and literally the very first thing he did was snap an opposing player. The other lad was carried off.

The next time I saw him, he did pretty much the same.

At least I think his first game was that sub appearance at home...no doubt a statto on here will correct me if necessary.

Nothing against him and to be honest, like a lot of fans, I like a 'robust' challenge. Sets the tone and lets everyone know they're there to work.....doesn't always work like that of course ;)
