Not the ideal scenario, but what have we got to lose?

If it goes wrong with Singh we can phoenix then if we have to. I'd prefer to play at this level or higher for as long as possible.

In Jeff we Trust.

Hope the rumours that Hignett will be manager aren't true, that would be the first wrong decision imo.

I liked hignett, he signed some good players, mostly all where sold behind his back and are still playing in the football league, unlike us.

He went the extra mile to bring players in, drove to amonds gaff down at grimsby, and had good solid players lined up before the shit hit the fan in the january.

He was getting performances out of the players, which only seemed to drop once the players were lied to about wages.

I think we could do a big deal worse.

He also dislikes paul watson. Majorly.

Just a gut feeling Yubep. I think he is just too much one of the lads for my liking. You're right though, we could do a lot worse, but the appointment of a manager is key to any future success. Its imperative we get this right. I would rather get an old skool non league manager in or an up and coming one like Alun Armstrong at Blyth.

Id like Hignett back an all. Some great signings, would probabaly have made a lot of money from them if Coxall wasnt accepting the first bids for them.

Enjoyed the football too. Always seems to have a good knowledge of local and lower league footballers which i presume he still has an interest in since we binned him.

I think at the end of his time there was just too much going on behind the scenes to cope with, he looked 20 years old trying to hold it together whilst Gary the crook Coxhall lied about everything possible.

In the right environment, I think he'll do well. I'd have him back.

I'd definitely want Hignett back. There is clearly a good relationship between him and Raj. Football under him was the only football I've enjoyed watching for years. Whether he came back as manager or coach is another matter, though.

Well said horden. Many appear to forget that we are a NL outfit heading for NL North.

Under Harrison and Bates we have failed trying ' to play football'. We need a manager who understand the demands of non league football.

Aye I think I'd have him back. I liked how he wanted us to play the game. Much more attack minded than Harrison for example.

That said, it's like anything else, he would need time which is a luxury managers are just not afforded in these instant results times.

We might have started the season trying to 'play football' but since October it's been a hump it and see mentality. Alright there's been the odd exception but I'd take the football Higgy got us playing over this shite any day.

I'd have higgy back, it seemed he was trying to build something sustainable with our playing squad. Must have been a nightmare working with Coxberg and Watson.

The amount of hammerings we had under Higgy, even before things started going off behind the scenes, mean I wouldn't want him back. Getting stuffed 6-1 against an awful Stevenage team early in the season was the point I lost faith in him.

I lost faith in him when he played a weakened side against Accrington, effectively stating the season was over with 5 or 6 game to go, Amateurish decision

I liked Hignett. I'd have him back at the club tomorrow.

I think Pools owe Hignett a chance after they (by Coxall's hand) fucked his managerial career up.
