Not in the slightest, it’s an MMouse cup that the Beeb promote like fcuk as its the only live football they have access to. See that Swans won 8-1 but County will have made some cash I guess - I will never forgive them for bellying up to Newport on that dreadful final day last year.

I remember it, my girlfriends daughter took ill, and I had to leave just as game was kicking off. My girlfriend lived in Washington and Pools were 2 up by the time we got to Hawthorn Services on the A19. Last I heard was that they had scored 5. About 11pm turned my phone on to get result confirmed , 8-1 WTF!!! I was gutted , that I had missed our biggest win in my lifetime.

You need experience, but Notts Co were far too old for a game like that last night. Stead 34, Ameobi 36 Smith 37 and the back line must all be late 20s/early 30s. Had they been a bit younger it may of only been 5-1

Great night of football, loved that period when pools moved a few games to fridays.

Straight off to loons after with me mates after the game.

Paul Robinson was pure class for about 6 months.

Yeah, used to go in The Causeway a lot around that time, and remember that particular evening, the place was heaving. It used to get a good crowd in Friday teatime anyway, but with the match on, it was buzzing. I remember thinking at the time, that the whole evening, the pub beforehand and the walk to the ground, had a sort of Championship atmosphere to it. If we had ever got to The Championship, every home game would of had that similar buzz. Loved that period when crowds got to around 5200 of our own supporters , even without away fans. It only lasted for about a year , but they were great times.

I was there as well with me dad, although I can't remember why, as I can't usually get to Friday evening games and he hated football.
